That map is ok, but there is something strange, imo.
-Near the entrance those cliffs go higher than the roof, yet you can see their surface.

Its really nice mapping, however it would be nice if there was somekind of cliff editing because like all maps, the cliff dosen't really blend with the water.

Otherwise there isn't much to say...

Prexus, interesting map, but if you take a look at the bottom-right cliff, you'll see that it doesn't line up right when compared to the rest of the map. Maybe you could also cluster your plants together, so they don't look randomly placed on the map.

Panda: Fixed. They don't actually go higher, it's a bit of an optical illusion.

psgels: I have no idea what you're talking about with the cliffs. They all look fine to me?

I think he meant that it doesn't look like there's a submerged portion to the cliffs - which can give the effect that cliffs are just floating on the water.

That's incredible! The only problem I can see is that the Top-middle thing is off from that thing under it.

incredible the art work is very great and apealing to the eyes ill guess this will be a 3d world with 2d characters, might be the best graphic game made for the rpg xp keep up the work will be interested in this games future release.

It's actually a 2d world with 2d Characters. The maps are painted.
Prexus: My last artist had to leave because of an Internship he was awarded, So redesigning the places for the replacement artist WAS a must. it'll be for the best, though.

Good stuff Diego, that town really has some life and charm to it unlike what I consider "typical" towns you'd fine in most games. Fells very distinguished.

Looking really good Prex, but is it just me or is there the "Figure A Sin" in the top right corner of the map diagonally left below where the water starts? It might just be me though.

Hey everybody.

I've been trying to find ways I can make money to pay for the things I need for my game (It's online - so a server, software for the server, commissioning people to make graphics, etc. are all necessary). One way I thought was possibly advertising.

Some notes:
-This would only be in the free edition, not the paid one
-...and on the login screen (because it doesn't know if you've paid or not until you login )
-There would NEVER be animated ads or ads with sound, and no deceptive ads (nothing like "You have won a free iPod, click here loser")

At first I tried the size of a google ad (468x60), but this seems way too big and distracting.

So I moved it down from the game screen and made it much smaller (400x50).

I need opinions on this. E.g. would you mind an ad like that on the screen, if it was only in the free version / on the login screen? Etc.

Prexus: quite good, but I don't like the way you handled the stairs. Not only does it look copied and pasted it on the map, but the perspective is wrong as well. Perhaps you could make an indent in the wall and put the stairs there?

Ad's can be a good idea if it is not annoying. Plus you'd have to get ads to use.

Anyhow, I have not posted a screenshot in a long time so here is one. Any comments?

@The Man: The apples in the trees contrast too much in my opinion, there's an error with the top left corner pillar, the cliff is somewhat square and off-putting, and lastly, the broken top parts of pillars dont look very good on the over-grown versions.

Anyhow, here's a half-finished map from my project. Does anyone know who made those big patches of flowers? I'd like to credit them, yet I forgot who the author is..

damn that would take 5-7mins to navigate thourgh the map but other than the amazingly largenessness of it ilike it...cept for the tree in front of the upper most house the fence goes over the top of the tree

That map is beautiful. Really has an Earthbound feel to it, using large open spaces and the color scheme.
