The last film you saw

I liked it a lot. The ending was dumb as hell, but the ride up to it was great. I wasn't expecting to like Jamie Foxx in that role, but I did.

It pales deeply in comparison to the Kill Bills and Pulp Fiction but Sam L. Jackson's character was just ... Just great. Waltz & DiCaprio were also fuckin brilliant.

My fiance really disliked it though. He said it was overly silly (which is weird, because he goes for even stupider/sillier movies than I do). I could only respond that it was a Tarantino film. /shrug
(Hell, he LOVED From Dusk Til Dawn specifically for the last third of it ... Which was the silliest, most insane part!)

That scene with the dogs though (you know the one) ... Oh man that was fucking vicious; I was squirming all over my seat in discomfort at that one

I watched Origin Spirits of the past.
It was enjoyable. Some of the art is amazing, I like some of the characters, but I must admit that I found some of the characters to be a bit... Samey. You know. Like the characters that are always in anime.
I also found the twists a bit... meh, although one bit did somewhat surprise me.

Watch it if you're into that stuff.
If you don't want to watch it then I'll try explain it all:
So this huge tree dragon disends upon earth to fuck shit up and make forests. 300 years later some kid called agito and his friend are collecting water for the village or town or whatever. Some weird forest people catch them stealing the forests water and they try to get away. Agito swims down a hole and finds some cryopod with some girl in it.
She wakes up and some other guy from the past time appears and takes her away because she has this thing around her neck that can become a phone and do other things and shit. Also her father invented this ambiguous thing that can return the world to normal and generic bad guy X (The guy from the past)
Agito is conversing with his tree dad about what he should do. His tree dad is all like "I'm going to be ambiguous" and you find out that Agito must go to the forest and speak to two telepathic naked ladies so that he can get him some mean ass forest powers and dye his hair silver.
X says he has found the girls dads machine and goes there with her and starts up the ambiguous machine which is inside a mountain.
They start it up and the mountain moves.
THE FUCKING MOUNTAIN MOVES MAN. SERIOUSLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT. WHO MAKES THAT SORT OF THING?
Agito gets inside the mountain and dances with generic bad guy x for a bit and then X picks up the girl like a carpet and tries to run away but Agito won't stand for that shit. He climbs up the inside of the mountain and fights X a bit more before grabbing him and turning them both into a tree. The girl stops the machine and Agito has some sort of telepathic conversation with his tree dad on the moon. His dad isn't a tree though, because he is speaking to his past dad who has his future dads voice. Also he speaks to the tree ladies and generic bad guy x who says a generic things. Then agito is thrown out of the moon and is rebirthed through some sort of berry vagina thing...
They go back to the town or village or what ever it is and everyone is happy and END.

Yeh.

I most likely saved you some time by explaining it to be honest, but it is an okay movie so... watch it...

Awesome Bro

Last night in bed I watched The Last Samurai... because y'know, it's a fucking brilliant film, definitely one of, if not the, best film that Tom Cruise has been in...

know I'm late to the party but hopy shit WRECK-IT RALPH WAS AMAZING. All the video game references, the puns; and I must say one of the most creative stories I've seen in a Disney movie. Before I saw it I was a bit skeptic with the trailer-- the candyland setting seemed far too happy and bright and disgusting-- but they worked it out so well with the evil bugs and the dark twist. And the feels, man, all the feels you could possibly get in a movie. I cried.

From when I was one to I was like three Pocahontas was my life. I had a Pocahontas bed spread, birthday party, video game, etc. Pochontas for life.

Battle Royal.
I've been needing to see this movie for a long time. My brother watched it a few years ago and said it would be something I would like, and he was right. I was in HMV today and it was on sale (like everything is) so I brought it.
Over all a great movie.
I really liked the ending. And I loved how the main character didn't kill anyone (except that one guy by accident) but jeez. I was in suspense the whole time.
BUUUUUT! I don't get the begining. The girl comes out of the game and is swarmed by the press, I assumed this was some sort of flash forward to the end. Then at the end nothing like that happens. Is it saying the girl has already been through Battle Royal before?!?!
I did love the ending though. The way that guy hacks the necklaces and makes everyone think they are dead. Epic. That crazy guy who gets blinded and killed is quite awesome too. He is a badass, but a total maniac.
I watched the making of on the DVD straight after and I have to say, the director is really... Forward?
He literally orders everyone about. If he doesn't like a scene "Again" and how he tells Beat to throw real chalk at the girl, not the fake one. And how he also tells Beat to hit the boy around the head harder. You can tell Beat is objecting and the kid is like "This is starting to piss me off" but in the end everything was amazing. I guess that is what you get when you have a perfectionist director. Also, I wish I had seen the Danger Zones used a lot more. Like... NOBODY died from them...
Edit: Also when the director tells the girl to throw the pan, you can see she is scared and doesn't want to do it, and in the end she ends up hitting people. Many times... I just can't help but feel... Y'know... There's a limit. He ends up having a girl practice walking in a certain way just for one scene. I mean jeez man. Tone it down.

Asuming ur on about the japanese film...
you'd definatly like battle royale 2 then.. I have both on dvd.. awesome films.. the hunger games were a big ripoff of these films.. even the writer of the hunger games books said in an interview that they are a massive fan of the battle royale series, no guessing where they got the idea from then.. LOL.. just a bit of a difference in story but the whole kids.. kill or be killed is still the same.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, that was not terrible!

It was awesome. But it properly won't get sequel.

Though we'll seeing more of Jeremy Renner in The Avengers 2 and maybe the S.H.I.E.L.D tv series.

Awesome Bro

Last night in bed, I watched the extended bluray edition of Gladiator, and fucking hell I teared up at the ending... again. Seriously, Gladiator is an example of a perfect film, it's just absolutely brilliant, and one of my favourite films ever...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^, there isn't enough up arrows in the world to display how much I agree with this post. Been falling asleep to: Gladiator, Troy(last night), Pocahontas, and Dances with Wolves every night for the past couple of weeks.

Magnolia.

I don't even know what to say, honestly. I enjoyed it, and the way Tom Cruise's story unfolds just brought the feels in a freakin' wave. I should probably be depressed or something.

well heres my list for the past 2 days of watching films.

hansel & gretel: witch hunter .. awesomely funny film, hope it gets a sequal.

Crawlspace .. low budget but pretty cool film.. reminded me a mix of species 1 & 2 and Alien (the first film, how it was dark and roaming corridors.. ect), will be interesting to see if this gets a sequal.

All superheros must die .. low budget again but it was quite an inspiring piece of work by 2 lads. cant see this getting a sequal, which is a shame really, it was a good film, Wacky! kinda reminds me of a mix between Saw & kickass.. lol if you can imagine that.

Seventh Moon .. kinda like a blairwitch film but i think it was way better, low budget but good, really freaked out cave scene that had me like.. "oh my god! ..... oh my god!"

Warm Bodies .. awsome film, nuff said :)

yes jason, seen it a few months ago, it looks pretty cool.. and very colourful.

its basically the story of how the "wizard of oz" came to be the all and powerful
leader in oz.

I saw Warm Bodies a little more than a week ago. It was entertaining, but definitely not nearly as funny as the trailers made it seem to be. I do have Life of Pi sitting on my computer right now. i heard THAT was amazing. Gonna' watch it this weekend. :)

just got finished watching Disney's Tarzan, and watching it at this age makes the movie that much better. There's a lot of deep shit involved in that movie, it's incredible.

Last night I watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
I say I watched it, that shit is long, I left halfway through, made myself some dinner, came back, it was still going. I managed to eat my dinner before it finished.
Tip, you should set aside a whole day if you are thinking of watching it.
Although it is a very good film xD

Never did like that film anyway, lol. Also, it's not that long, 144 minutes according to Wikipedia, lol, the standard edition of Gladiator is 155 minutes and the extended edition is like 170 minutes.

The last film I saw was Mama yesterday... so boring and didn't find it jumpy or scary at all, but my mam and little brother were pretty much like "OH SHIT" every 5 minutes... -.-"
