He updated the file, did you download the latest one? After I re-downloaded the newest version I had to talk to Martha again and go back to Will's house
I am nearing the end of the demo, and found a couple of things not working properly today.
1/ I got 2 waterskins (1 from the dwarven mountains, the other from the locked chest in tieve's woods). They both filled when I drank from a fountain; but when I used 1 (in the Garrison caves), I ended withe a single emty one. Not an empty one and a full one... just an empty one.
2/ The first time I returnd to the elve housr in Thornberry (I think I mispelled the name...), the new residents were already there, but I didn't the message I got the second time, explainig the wife leaved. The first time was just after the 'hanging'. The second time was on my trip back from the dwarves.
Ooops... I didn' t see there was an update. And just the day after I downloaded my own copy of the demo.
And... err... can you tell me wher you hid that damned pickaxe ??
And... err... is it me, or I only got a Leather Armor Plans for the blacksmith craft ? is there any other Plans?
You can find the pick-axe in the Dwarven Mines, on the deepest level. That was added to a newer version, which may be why you didn't see it if you finished that section with an older version. There is another set of forging plans (for Iron Swords) at the blacksmith shop in Thornbury. William should have mentioned it the first time you talked to that blacksmith.
I'm loving the demo so far. However, I am stuck in Thief's Haven, my Caravan Tokens stolen, and after I returned the locket to the guy in the bar/inn thing, I can't figure out what you're supposed to do beyond that. If you are supposed to go through the thief's cave, is there a way to avoid having your lantern extinguished?
The apples for Angus are in the woods east of Thornbury. There are three apple trees scattered throughout the woods. They look very different from the rest of the trees in that area.
You really know where to put a "To Be Continued", that's for sure. I'm dying to see what happens next. Anyway, a review.
The Good:
-Highly intriguing story. I couldn't stop once I started just because I had to know what happened next. Not to mention that humble beginnings are always good in my book.
-Great character design and interaction. I find it refreshing to see characters interact as people rather than just parts of a whole (only talking about the story events or what's to come).
-Astounding environment detail. By far the best maps I've seen yet, great attention to detail.
-Major events during the main plot that were totally unrelated to it. In my opinion, non-linear stories are wonderful, and you got just the right blend of it.
-Interesting little puzzles. I always like to see a little thought required of the player, without them wracking their brain.
-Forging. I thought that was a great alternative to the typical "buy everything." I really liked the additional items you can throw in and the effects they added.
The Bad:
-Some segments were a little dry and dragged on, such as:
The Kraken in the Dwarven Mines
-Battle difficulty was an issue (at least to me) in some areas, especially:
The wolves in the woods in the beginning, the Ents outside the Dwarve's Mount.
But again, that may have just been because I missed something that would've been helpful. They were still manageable, just...a few close calls.
-Money. It was a little difficult to come up with even an adequate amount of money. At times I couldn't even afford to use the forges in the towns.
Overall, on a scale of 100, I would have to give it thus far a 92. In short, keep doing whatever it is that you're doing.
This is relevant to my interests, too. I haven't played this game for a long long time, Juno, and I want to see the latest you've done. :D lookin forward to it
