The font doesn't work.

That's odd, I just downloaded the game to test the font, and it worked okay for me.  Does it give you a specific error if you try to paste the font file into "C:\Windows\Fonts"?

Here's a link to download the font by itself, if that helps: http://www.mediafire.com/?e4zqeaazcge

So how long do we have to wait for the next part of the game? XD

I wish I could say.  I've been making good progress on new areas and plot development, as well as improving some existing sections.  I'm planning for the next big update to have a similar amount of game-play as the first part, so it will take time.  I might post some screenshots of newer areas in the near future.

(I do expect Fallout 3 and StarCraft 2 to impede my development, though.) :dead:

how do i get the 10 mushrooms?
and how do i beat the snake thingy`?

and where is the theifes?

In the main post, there is a "Notes" section.  That has information about several quests that are as-yet unfinished in the demo.

As for finding the thieves... you'll just have to look around. Talking to people will give you some clues.

I feel like such a noob... lol

I started your game, but I don't know how to complete a certain part. It seems like it should be rather easy quest to figure out, I must have missed something.

The quest were I am collecting 5 hazelweed plants. I found 2 of them in the southern land with all of those wolves.  All of the rest of the area seems to be blocked off with tree stumps, dead trees water etc. I see a house below one of the parts but I can't jump down there or anything.

I also found a minor bug, it may have been brought to your attention before. It really doesn't take away from the game at all though. While you're running and you hit the button to call Thistle, Thistle will now only run at the speed of the character. While he runs faster if you call him while you're standing still. Like I said it's just something minor.

@TamaThps:  All five hazelweed plants are in the forest with the wolves.  There are a number of trees that will sway in the wind any time there is a breeze.  Try interacting with one of those trees, and that should help you out.

As for the Thistle bug, I do know about that one, it's just kind of a mystery right now.  I hope to have it worked out at some point in the future.

Hey, I downloaded the font thing from your link, but the font still doesn't show up. What do I do now?

I'm having, like, no luck with games today, it seems. -_-

Thanks a bunch Juno for the solved solution for that puzzle. As I believe I have the proper programs installed now, I'll start playing this rpg again as I loved it (slightly hard I have to say but fun nonetheless).

Just a note, you say this is about 30% complete, so when WHOLE thing is done (long time later ofc) it will be +25 hours? lol

Just played it a couple days ago. The game's pretty cool and I think the other members already explained why.
I'm stuck at the Theive's cavern dungeon though. I need to answer a question 'true' or 'false' to pull these four switches and I think it should have the bridge appear right? I don't know if I just answered them wrong or if it's a glitch but here's what I put.

1. A sword longer than dagger = True
2. A dove flies faster than a hawk = False
3. It snows in summer but never in winter = False
4. A harp has strings, a flute does not = True

If I just put the wrong answer for any of these questions please tell me.
Thanks!

@Anopob:  Yes, the game should take close to 30 hours once it's complete.  Hopefully that's not too ambitious.

@TheRPGPlayer:  The True/False puzzle in the thieves' caves works like this:

There is a sign that says, "Only the answers of a true thief will open the path that follows."
Since a thief is dishonest, a thief would LIE about the answers.  Does that help?

Thanks, that worked! Never thought of doing the opposite of what I was doing but I guess I should've figured that when the sign said "Answer like a theif would".
Anyway, thanks again!

Once I leave the home town, how do I save whether I'm in a different town or out in the wild. I've been playing for a while and I need to save, but before it let me save at any time I wanted to...

You can't save if you're in the World Map.  I did this to prevent a player from straying too far from a town, saving, and then not being able to get back to a town before being attacked by Bandits.  Other than that, you should be able to save at anytime.  Where are you in the game?

I was in the town directly west from the one you start out at. While in the town, or in the wilderness with the enemies it would not let me save for some reason. I would hit save and it gave me the noise of something you cannot do. It wouldn't even let me get to that screen to see the save slots, it stayed in the normal menu. I kept playing and for no reason now I am able to save. Maybe it was just a fluke.

@Tama:  Thanks for letting me know.  It wasn't a fluke, your info helped me find a bug.  I'm actually surprised you're the first to mention, I think it's been in there for a while.  It's going to take me some time to have a fixed version up, since I've got some new areas that are now part of the first section.  In the meantime, if you find you can't save, just go into the World Map and right back again.

This was my initial line of thinking, but I thought that was too easy. But then again I have already played the game, and figured Jaena's Honest Robbing, ie robbing people who deserve it. I suppose in context, it makes more sense, since you're told earlier about the tokens and everything...

Sorry for getting stuck again...

I'm at the part where William has woken up from a coma (or whatever happened to him) and I am playing as Arthur.
I helped Martha Bloomfield until she said "Thank you, that's it!" basically and then I talked to Belarus and he told me how William
could escape. So what do I do now? How do I find out how to get William to Belarus' house safely?

Thanks!

Now that Belarus has told you how to get out of Willow Glen, you can share that knowledge with William and Charis.  Maybe one of them has an idea.

I'm also at the same spot as TheRPGPlayer

I helped Martha, and spoke with Belarus.  William says something along the lines of "I'm staying out of sight until you find me a way out of here" and Arthur says "I will come back once I've helped Martha, and have found a way out for you".  Charis just says she doesn't want William to leave after he's just woken up, but she understands.  I've also talked to everyone in the village. I'm stuck.
