Post What's on Your Mind

I've been thinking all day about the character change Shinichi has during parasyte... I think it's written really well and I hope to one day be able to write something as powerful as that.

Good luck man! My opus 3 box will come in anyday now. And just got back from Regina. We had a winnipeg vs Regina tournament. We won :D

Some clever person made a graphics hook that adds modern VR support into Alien Isolation, so I can finally finish that game. If you have a VR headset then get Alien Isolation and search for MotherVR. It's just a DLL drop away from restoring the VR mode.

At first when you said "Alien Isolation," I thought "Aliens: Colonial Marines." And I thought about that saying "Bad comedy is horror and bad horror is comedy." Then I imagined you laughing your way through a complex full of the stupidest aliens in the universe. Then I realized you were talking about a different game, and now I hope you don't die of a heart attack.

I played the original Dreadhalls demo on my old Oculus dev kit. It was so horrifying it wasn't even fun to play. At parties, people would try it out and girls would scream and throw off the headset and cry. I can't even imagine how scary a game could be now in high definition.

Yeah Isolation is the good game. From what I hear, it sold poorly.

I actually got out of bed at 2am to check it out and make sure it works. I've been stuck at a point in the game for a while where I'm trying to sneak across a large room with about 6 people patrolling around it - because it's in VR the room seems quite large and making eye-contact with the patrolling enemies is terrifying, you feel like they really should see you - but it's a game designed for non-VR play, so they don't see you.

At one point I was spotted, so I ran back and reached a maintenance tunnel, I was mashing the controller to get myself to duck and get in and I was saying out-loud "Go away, go away, go away!".

In terms of sales it's currently sold 2.43m at retail between PC, PS4, PS3, XBO and X360... with the majority of PC games being digital sales these days, and the countless times it's been on sale on PSN (And assuming XBL too), the number is of course much higher.

Overall though, yeah, bad sales...

Awesome Bro

That was my first post in over two weeks, and this is my second. My last post will be at 17,000... think that's all I'll be able to muster up.

I was reading listening to The King in Yellow: The Repairer of Reputations.
Stories from an insane person's perspective really makes my skin crawl. Because of course they don't think they're crazy. It makes me question my own sanity. And this being a horror story, you don't really know what is real and what is the delusion.

I'm moving on to the next story The King in Yellow: The Mask.
Edit: Oh, that was kind of a nice story. I think? I'll have to see it anyone has alternative interpretations. I was expecting a double tragedy. I thought everyone who read the The King in Yellow went crazy. But the ending was kind of sweet.

Sounds interesting, Coyote. I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately. Maybe I should check out the King in Yellow.

In other news, I was clicking around in IMDB and I came across Dragonball: Evolution. How did I never hear about this? Chow Yun-fat as Master Roshi? Definitely interested. Rated 2.6 stars out of a possible 10? Now I have to see it.

I accidentally bought 25lbs of modeling clay online. I tried canceling it, but it was at my house 3 days later.
I was kinda interested in it. But then I remembered I have a dremel and wood scraps I could craft with instead.
So now I have both.

And I have no idea what I'm going to make with it.

So I'm an old guy who saw someone use this gif to respond to someone once. I was curious about its source, and I tried looking it up. According to Know Your Meme, proper usage is a condescending dismissal of someone else's opinion. That's unfortunate, because it also works as a response to a funny rhetorical question where the answer is no. So now I'm an old guy who someone use this gif to respond to someone once and is now reusing the gif improperly and probably overthinking it.
