Started writing code for account-linking, then realised how much of a pain in the ass it will be. The problem is that if linking an account fails after the link has been authenticated, then there's two accounts hanging loose and the user will be signed into the wrong one.

What I will probably do in that scenario is log out the user and send them back to the login screen with a message "A problem with linking accounts has been detected, for your security we have signed you out" - make it look like the issue is actually a security feature if it ever triggers. It's an issue that's unlikely to crop up, but it certainly will if this project gets too big.

I didn't want to say anything and jinx it. Funerals are par for though course in October. Had an old classmate die and my grandpa passed away. Both were related to seizures.

Oh. I just found out from my sister that my former classmate didn't die from a seizure. See, last month he was in a car accident, from a seizure, because he stopped taking his depression meds (he had PTSD), and he was in a coma for a while, but came out of it, then went in for some procedure. I just assumed he died from complications relating to that.
No, he just had depression and shot himself.

I shouldn't say "just depression" like its a trivial thing. It's just, everyone thought it was seizure, car accident, coma. You know, after surviving all that, everyone was surprised to learn the truth.
