mine passed through double doors with both doors open ONCE, after trying like 60 times. and single doors are just impossible for him to get through. it is infuriating. a lot of people seem to be having that prob on the MC forums. maybe it's just an SMP thing?

Huh... I play single player on my private SMP server and they walk through a normal door just fine! 0.o

better idea: build floors out of gravel or sand, suspended underneath by torches, placed over vast pits filled with cacti. then build normal stone/wood/etc. ceilings, and 1 block above that, place stacks of gravel/sand.

if they dig down, they fall to their death. if they dig up, they are squashed.

for extra protection (and I actually DO do this sometimes, for fun), build all your walls 3 squares wide. The outer blocks can be pretty much anything non-flammable. The center wall blocks are lava. Someone fucking with your wall? Not for long.

(Or just line every single interior non-flammable floor, ceiling, and wall with lava. Surprise!)

There's a bukkit plugin that lets you quickly make doors out of blocks, manipulated by switches or levers. You can have a looootttttt of fun with those.

I also made a set of griefer prisons out of bedrock, lined with lava :x. I have a command that can teleport someone to a named location. So if someone pisses me off ... Heh

The entry way. Im kind of going for like a kid's secret base sort of thing. The goal is to have a bunch of different ladders and doors and secret passages and stuff. x:

Hey, does anyone know of a good, current mod for tweaking the settings for terrain generation? Specifically, I'd like to make biomes bigger and I'd like to make water deeper!

Check out the Phoenix Terrain Mod. It's a far more recent update of the original Biome Terrain mod. Though, to be fair, I tried it on my bukkit based server and it produced the worst lag I've ever seen for that server. SSP is fine, though.

Bukkit already has a recommended build for 1.6.6. It's Craftbukkit 818, and the only mods it broke for me were Citizens (which was pretty shitty anyway) and Permissions 2.whatever, which I upgraded to 3.whatever and now everything works fine. And I'm using a pretty massive list of server mods, so that's saying something.
