saikyo, there's no need for you to be a dick either, he was giving an opinion, surely it wasn't exactly nice, but there was no need for you to call fox5's game a "laggy mess", or call it a "crappy little zombie game", and what do you mean a "bigger level of production", I mean, from your screenshots, it just looks like you've got random unmatching tilesets, some look RTP others look like photos or something, and added them, which, in my opinion, looks terrible, although I wouldn't comment and say;

"Your screenshots look like shit they're fucking disgusting your game is shitty mess"

I'd say more like;

"Your maps could do with improving, as the tilesets don't quite match"

... You know why ? Cause despite all the shit talk you do and diss another members game of the same genre, you've still put hard work into it... and besides, you'd go on a bitch fit if anyone says anything bad about your game, ironic, eh ?
I don't find any irony. Anyways, maybe wrong choice of words. What I mean is this game has so much work put into it on all levels. a higher level of quality. there is so many small details that most rmxp games dont take their time to do. It's feeling like and coming out a way bigger project than one would think. while you guys have only been seeing screenshots the last few months you have no idea whats in store when you play this game. Apalogize about my last post but still.

Fix this this graphic error....I see behind barrels color lol..
that was a mock map, so there is no point in fixing that. that map was a mock up for this warehouse boss fight.

anyway the only thing i can say is expect the full release before christmas. peace.

Yeah I decided to stop lollygagging and just finish up with the game already. The last and final thing I finished up yesterday was the radio system. Consider it like the codec from Metal Gear Solid. You can access it at any time during gameplay. and you can contact the other main characters via radio and each one has a diffrent radio frequency that you can freely contact for support about missions in progress or just random survival skils and such. I want it to wind in with the story somehow like maybe it can be used in some other sense. Anyway.

You wanted it, I'm giving it to ya.
I'm completely beefing the game up and just going all out. theres more zombe ies, more blood and gore and weapons than you can imagine. you can cut limbs off and shoot off body parts. plenty of unique zombie death animations. Special respawns, a brand new city to roam around in. Has tighter streets and alleyways, more cars, better zombie respawns spots, better lighting, Unique SFX (zombie groans and gunshots echo in appropriate area. You can hear more bass in the gunshots and zombie groans in small roomed areas). zombie AI has been tweeked to the max, game is difficult for you old school gamers out there. various control/button schemes. the story mode is something you wouldn't expect. I mean so much work is put into the game it doesnt even feel like an rmxp game anym more. Plenty of screenshots and a new video are on my other laptop which currently cant get internet. but ill get it all on a cd and post it soon. Peace

And after all of these changes this will come out before christmas? You're a god if you can manage to pull that off. I'm eagerly awaiting this projects completion. By any chance have you glanced at Resident Ibol? Youtube it. I would provide a link but I'm on my cellphones net. :p

G'luck game looks sick.

Well it's pretty much finished so there is just plenty of small things to do here and there. I seen resident ibol, looks good.

Gore system test. do not pay attention to the weapon hud that says glock 17. do not pay attention to the detail in the maps.they are ALL beta maps underway.

It just seems to really splash to the ground :D
Nice

Thank you : )

the partical system is so much smoother than the default animation system. its a simple script but works sufficiently for what i need it for. the flame thrower can now be made to my liking with the new animation system.
Yes and the blood actually stays on the ground for a while and doesnt cause any lag. I'm going to make body parts like arms and stuff part of the splatter system so body pieces stay on the floor. Disapearing bodies are being reworked too. the bodies will stay longer before disapearing but they wont be a character set remaining there.

Stay tuned for more updates possibly tommorow.

Messing with flashlight effects. to help you see zombies with light, in range the zombies will flash becoming more visable

Ever thought of doing a flashlight? For when there are areas of near total darkness, you can use the flashlight to allow you some light, and then when enemies appear, you have to escape/run, get a gun and load, and then come back.

Great Idea :)
I been wanting a flashlight but just got around to messing with it. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do it. I just want it to look like it actually brightens up the room. Like I'm still not even impressed with the above picture of the test I have. I had a few ideas that I still have to test. but with the outdoor areas using pictures and fogs and screen tints, the flashlight and other lighting items will only be used indoors. You can see objects with the flashlights not normally seen. The real horror aspects will take place indoors. and the flashlight for darker interiors will make it a little scarier.

You can probably use guns as a temp flashlight in some instances. Not too sure if the player's inventory is limited or whatever, but if it is, some players might not want to take a flashlight, which does little(albeit useful). The player can thus use the flash from using the gun as a light source, so they can get a glimpse of the room and move around.

It'll be interesting to see yourself in total darkness, and know that you're being attacked by an effin huge horde of zombies... and using the gun to light the room, not knowing if there's something blocking your way, if there's another zombie behind you...

Good point. Well the muzzle flash animation for indoor areas has a bigger glow around the hero. the animation for outdoors has a very smaller glow. so it natrually lightens up the screen when firing a weapon. ill show an example. but the "positive" effect on the glow natrually lightens up the area. :)
so yes, when you shoot in dark areas you can see xD.

I think I just need to make it a little brighter
