Fall of the Living: First Outbreak (Full Game Thread)

Well first of, if he did have some kind of car, it'd be an armoured truck of some sort. Something with guns and caged up windows, not a car that looks like it's from Starsky and Hutch.

I'n not saying features are a bad thing, but too many will make it complicated and bloated. You'll probably keep adding them too and never be happy with a fully finished game.

At least you're actually adding them I suppose. Unlike most people who plan loads but never actually do anything.

Well I can't say I agree. I don't like the idea of modded up cars. How about I do my game how I want and you dont get pissy when I talk about it K? And I don't agree with your second statement either. I also think it's stupid of you to give such a snobby opinion trying to say what I will do when you infact don't know at all. Just saying,

You told him :box: ... Saiko765 don't pay attention to that guy your game looks and sounds spectacular. Obviously you know what you are doing. I'm looking forward to seeing a sprited module of your car :thumb: .

Alright, calm down, I don't see how I was getting pissy at all. If you're gonna get offended and arsey by (what I think is) constructed criticism you can stuff it.

I never said his game didn't look great, I've made a few posts in this thread saying that exact thing.

Forgive me for not sucking your cock while making suggestions. I didn't know this thread was compliments only.

Well you have been bitching about things I post that no one else seems to be worried about as well as putting my ideas down. I suspect that you are arguing just to argue. Either that or your working with Fox and is just here to complain about nothing.

This is for ideas but you have no right to say what I will and will not do. The critisizm is not what gets to me, I am actually looking for that. But don't come on here complaining like a 3rd grader.

I still can't see how I was bitching or being pissy about anything. Maybe it's the way I post but I don't see it. Apart from my last post I don't see any arguing either, I think you just took it the wrong way but I meant no offence. I also have no idea who Fox is.

I said it looked like you're gonna keep adding features. Then that too many features can make a game bloated. I don't see anything wrong with that. As for putting down your car idea, I just suggested that it might not be so realistic driving a car like that in a world overrun with zombies. If you disagree, fine but don't act like I just kicked you in the face.

Ok, I'm not sure if you're talking about mtgmaster's posts before this page, and if you are, then I may be mistaken (as I've only read the first and this page), but I don't see he was bitching about anything. It does really look just like constructive criticsm; but I think you were offended by:
You'll probably keep adding them too and never be happy with a fully finished game.
And I think he probably just misphrased this with the use of the word 'You'll'. When people begin adding lots of systems into their game, however, this is what tends to happen, so I agree you shouldn't overcomplicate things (not saying you have though).
I agree the car is a tad unrealistic, but I wouldn't be bothered by it that much (and giving it guns could make it a possibly overpowered weapon).
The game looks great as it is and I especially like what you've done with the lighting. The only thing about the graphics I don't like is the zombies, as they look a little too human, with just a bit of blood and discolouration of the skin setting them apart from normal people. It'd also be more interesting to see a variety of different zombies, though I understand that's probably a little too time consuming.

Thank you. I agree about the zombies as well. The final product will have all diffrent races, clothing style, and body type and will all try to make sense on their location. Such as in a police station you will see mostly police zombies. The country side you will see more of a rural type of people. I agree they need to look and act more like zombies. Maybe I can have diffrent walking animations for each one make them look stumbling. And the audio should help set the mood with the diffrent zombie sounds as well.

Took a little break of working on the huge ass city to start working on the other terrain types that take place in the game. I wanted to work on something diffrent so I started the countryside that also has a small woodland area.

Most of this tileset is place holders untill I add my own textures to the chipset as well as no lighting or screen effects.
You will be able to use a flashlight or Night vision goggles in the forest.

I will be posting some screens soon for one of the boss fights. Enjoy.

Added the Battle Mode. You have a certain ammount of time to kill as many
zombies as you can, or whatever the objective of the level is. When the timer runs out your are graded by your performance and if you do well enough, you get to unlock more levels. As you get more kills the zombie Aggrovation percent raises and it will continue to get more difficult. Also added new weapons. Each level you will have a choice of diffrent weapons

+Added Mac 11. It's used as a one headed SMG. I was thinking maybe you can duel wield but only for the Mac 11

+added Remington 870 "Super shorty" shotgun.

Just another shot. the +10 is just a battle animation for +10 score points

Expirimenting with the muzzle flash. In dark areas the light from the muzzle is brighter.

Next weapons I am adding is:

Spas 12 Gauge
FA-MAS assualt rifle
Taurus Raging Bull Revolver
PSG1 Sniper Rifle
Fully customized G36C or M4
Chrome plated 1911
Silenced MK23 USP with usable laser sight.

Looks awesome. Cant wait to see how it plays. There's some things about the mapping (mostly the outside ones) that jus' don't sit right with me, but it may be that they're just incomplete. I'll be waiting for a demo before I tear the game into a million pieces and hand you the glue.
