FAIL.

I only got the state's minimum necessary amount of car insurance, and didn't get medical insurance. I figured, I'm young, I'm a good driver, what's the point in spending extra?

My car hit a metal ladder some yokel dropped right in front of me on the interstate while I was going like 80. Tire popped, car spun out, and I plowed headfirst into the guard rail going an estimated 65-70 mph.

My knee got messed up (thankfully that's all that happened--I was wearing my seat belt and it saved me from painting the windshield with my face), and my car was completely totaled. I still owed $10K on it.

I deny medical care because I can't afford the medical bills. My car insurance didn't cover that kind of collision--if I'd gotten one package more expensive (an extra $15/mo), or if I'd hit a person accidentally or if someone hit me, or if that f'ing yokel had come back to own up to his bad, it'd have been covered. That happened summer 2006, btw.

Now my knee is permanently messed up. I'm going to be paying off that car that is not a car but a hunk of metal until mid-2009.

Fail.

Wow that's terrible. Why didn't you at least apply for charity health care? Most hospitals make you fill out some paperwork and will handle all if not most of the medical bills. I guess its too late for my advice though. My uncle lives in Florida and the worst story he had was someone who had cleverly placed an entire couch on I-4, probably fell off a truck my guess. So at 2 or 3 in the morning he's driving along and barely grazes it as he swerves out the way. Left a big dent in the fender of his truck.

I make too much money to qualify for the charity medical thing. It's my own damn fault for not insuring myself. Dumb kid mistake. It gives me a chance to kick myself in the ass every time I cut a $300 check that I may as well light on fire because it's going towards nothing. Hospitals can't do much for joints anyway, I guess. Getting treatment could have staved off some of the physical therapy and constant pain but I can walk so I guess I turned out alright. Hate yokels, though.

FL's awful about car safety laws, particularly cell-phones, seatbelts, emissions (okay that's not safety), and condition of vehicle/contents. People're always driving with plastic bags instead of car doors or their ladders/furniture are just sitting in their open flatbeds, unsecured. Ugh.

I forgot to take my house keys with me one day when I went to school. (High School).
My sister was with her friends, my brother was at work and my parents weren't going to be home for hours. So, essentially, and without damaging anything, I broke into my own place. Some one I guess, saw me do this and phoned the cops. So they showed up. My neighbor had to tell them I lived there to get them to leave. I had to walk over to her house with the police. I was SO embarassed, and of course my siblings had fun with that for days.

PS: Venetia :( Sorry to hear that. Thats why I love Canada though. Everyone gets health care, and good health care, whatever they're earnings and whether or not they can afford it. Although I'm in an income bracket in which I can afford and am required to pay, I don't mind cause I've been poor enough before to know the benefit of free health care.

It's okay. I'm trying to deftly avoid a debate on social healthcare here, but I've never minded the way healthcare is. I made enough money to afford it, I was just too dumb to bother. I've lived at the absolute bottom before, and managed to get by on Medicaid/Medicare. It's not really that bad of a system. But in this job I'm at, they cover your insurance almost entirely. Only have to pay $8/mo for premium coverage. Also now my car has every kind of protection so I should be fine in the future. But it's just amazing how a dumb-kid mistake can f' up so many years of your life!

I had to break into my own house a bunch of times before--I'm quite the lockpicker ^_^. Good thing no one ever called the cops on me, though! None of my neighbors ever knew me! XD

Um, at work the other day I forgot to open up the restaurant's payroll for the next day, and one of the other managers was forced to do everything regarding shifts, shift changes and all that garbage by hand. Er...considering how many people work in a day, it was kind of a lot of work that shouldn't have existed. FAIL?

It'd only truly be a FAIL if you got like fired over it, or lost a $#!tload of money, or embarrassed yourself semi-permanently, or hurt yourself. Otherwise it's just a faux pas :'P

Oh man you haven't seen the other pics of her house. Seriously, it's just ......... Damn.

I bet my house beats hers in the crappy department, though. I have no ceiling.  :'(

Oh, on topic:
Last week, or so, my Father, brother, and I had to dig up our back yard(toilet troubles, don't ask.). So, there were these posts stuck in the ground, and they were in the way of out digging. I hadn't gotten to help much up until that point, so I volunteered to pull them up. Well, I got to work trying to pull that bad boy up, but I just couldn't seems to. I tried my damnedest, but it just wouldn't come up! So, my brother pushed me aside, and yanked it up with such ease, that... Well, needless to say I was beet-red. Plus, he told everybody.  :'(

Edit:
Goddamn, Atemu! Nevermind! Yipes. Cram much stuff in there?  ;)

Cute animals, though. I have a cat like that one, except gray-ish.

Yeah I don't see how the landlady and her cats don't die of salmonella poisoning or something after taking one look at that fridge.

You know you may be able to sue her for mental anguish or something. I think she can be called a 'slumlord'. You'll get free rent until she cleans up her act! :'D

I remember in sixth grade I was working on an art project; something to do with architecture or something. Anyways, I was working just across from the art teacher, who, at the time, had quite a nice rack (yes I know; weird). I was working almost mindlessly holding a conversation with a friend who was sitting next to me.
After a bit, I needed an eraser. I took a look across the table and saw the closest one was next to the art teacher. My friend was still talking to me as I looked up and asked for the eraser. Instead of asking though, I said aloud:

"You'd look better without a shirt."

She didnt hear, but everyone at the table did, and were staring at me for the next few minutes. I got the eraser, but not after reaching across the table for it.

"Hm? You could have just asked for it?" -she said.
"Yeah, I did." I remember responding.

All I have to do is call someone about how she treats the dog, and all of the animals will be out of that house quicker than you can blink.  I still need to get a picture of Maddy in her cage so you can get a better idea; it's horrible for her to be stuck in there.
