Cell Chamber

Cell Chamber [DEMO + YOUTUBE TRAILER]

Well, the noob comments really are why I'm (or we rather) aren't releasing anythign about Project: SEED until there is a demo. :) Or maybe a full game, who knows?

Oh, and about that fire:

Is it hot in here or is it me? (THIS FIRE IS MADE MY MILITANT MILO!!!!)

Some people really need to learn how to read. : /

Has this changed immensely since the last time I saw it, or is that just me? Anyways, very good work. If this is the game I thought it was, you've come a VERY long way in all areas.

Hey everyone. This is back being worked on now as I had promised. I have done loads of polishing in the last 24 hours and now need to just tie up some loose ends in the story and add a little bit more spit polish and a demo will be ready... Bad news... I'm going to Spain for a week with the girlfriend on Tuesday for a week... So I'll be releasing it after I get back so I can support my thread after the release (i.e. help on puzzles, any bugs).

@ Petros - My internet at my uni house is KO'ed. I keep coming over to a friends house to use the internet but I can't obviously hog her msn and stuff! I am going to need your support with that soon though! I'll have to hope it just fixes itself.

@ Jakey Zombie - I don't know if it's what you were thinking of but thanks anyway! It used to have like a big heavenly blue logo with wings coming out of it, but I dropped the whole religion part of the story in favour of a more steampunk fantasy game. I did this by focusing my story more specifically and rather than having a lot of story, it is now smaller but more precise and developed.

It's been so long I can't remember what's changed! It would be cool if you could comment how it's changed cos I really cannot remember anymore!

Didn't see this... I'm pretty much working on it every day now for at least a few hours... it just takes so damn long... it's at this point I'm regretting making practically every item in every house viewable!

I'm also taking the time to write the story out in as much detail as I can to formulate some even better plot twists... having all the information down in front of me... looks like your game is going to have a fair few as well!

hey this is looking like a wicked project. i see alot of good projects posting in here soo i cannot wait to get my BRAND NEW project up here sometime soon :D

Thankyou you 2. A kind of prelimenary final beta went out yesterday and then a proper beta needs to be done very soon and then a nice long demo will be out. Probably with an unforseen fatal bug but shit happens... :)

I have been working strenously for the past few days fixing everything up for the release, so I'm taking a break and showing something.

Thanks to moghunters scripts, now photoshop people can make menus too! Here's what I come up with, I may tidy them up more for the next demo demo.

Battles have also been implemented today, so I'm sure that will stir up a few problems to iron out, but at least they are in.

I love the menu Calibre :D, i wish i can make it but im not a photoshop person :P

You say that but I had uploaded the uglier older versions by accident when you commented! The fixed ones are up now, they are more cleaner!

Yeah the left part of all the windows were screwed up, as well as some icons were not updated to their new versions, some headings were in the wrong font and size and a few other tidbits.

I haven't been able to play through Chapter 2 yet; but so far, from Chapter 1 beta-testing, I have to say that I'm impressed.

While some dialogues can be improved, the atmosphere this game delivers is top notch; the beginning could easily be made into a survival horror genred direction.

Game-play wise is no difference; from puzzles to event-aided sneaking mini games, a worthy challenge is evident indeed.

Definitely looking forward to its final release, and will comment more once I get through chapter 2 beta. :)

This is precisely what will be amended before the game is ready to be played properly, the dialogue at the beginning of the game was always going to be the hardest part to write as Koen is both alone and a bit lacking in personality.

Both the harder puzzle and the stealth area have both been refined since you played to make both areas easier for the player. For the puzzle, The units of measurement have been removed to ensure the player isnt confused anymore than necessary, and for the stealth, a pan ahead feature has been added so the player can look ahead in safety and pan back and forth as they see fit. This was in response to a lot of beta testers having to run blindly at times and inevitably running into trouble. The on screen HUD has been moved down to create better upwards visibility as well.

I like how this game definitely has a different approach than some spiky haired hero. the mapping is above average, and to me the cms leaves nothing to be desired

Thanks G-Man, I saw your post before but didn't want to reply with nothing else to add!

However, today I finally finished up Chapter 1 of Cell Chamber. Chapter 2 has also been in development simultaneously and is around 80% - 90% complete. When Chapter 2 is finished I will release a demo, that hopefully (with battles and puzzles) will last between 3 and 4 hours for the average (adventurous) player.
