That was the victor one evvles, the airship pirate chick I burned out on before I started @_@

I particularly like the contrasts in the colors of the Hair. Something I have always seen in your work berry and always liked. I am still not overly fond of the character's faces (although I really did like the detail in the Victor picture) I think it might just be the lack of detail in some of them (although this most recent one its because they are both ugly girls)

She also has a prehensile large intestine but in that image it's on the inside.

Before i give, what could be, my best critique that i've ever done... let me go on to say...

I didn't know you changed your name to berrybliss... but then again... could be the fact that i've left RMXP for a moment...

WARNING! THE STATEMENT BELOW IS OPINION! *stares at people with pitchforks and "Wumpi for President" signs* lol

OK... Your spritework has to be some of the best spritework i've seen next to pixeltown (it's a hightly detailed town created purely of small pixels...). Now, besides the countless spriting resources, I have nothing to say on that behalf.

your coloring has reached a level that surpasses my own, currently. However, some of your drawing do lack a certain "dynamic" sometimes that prevent them from becoming an Awe-Inspiring wow. It seems i've come to this thread a bit late, as it seems you're well on your way to correcting the foot problem. There are minor issues with proportion that i've seen in a couple of pictures that prevent me from seeing this character in full 3-D. Also I see some of your pictures suffer from anatomic issues also. Occasionally, they'll suffer from the issue where their one leg seems shorter than the other. Nevertheless, your brilliant usage of colors often supplements for the lack of the aforementioned perspective and anatomic issues. I'd say that you're developing quite an interesting style, and your attention to detail is also at a level that far surpasses my own. I would hope that you still keep the part of your style where they have nubs for feet... I actually like that...

I hope this was most beneficial to you, i picked up some coloring tips looking at your artwork... so before anything happens... thanks for the tips...

man i hate to break it to you but iso stuff like that (while incredibly tedious and time-consuming) is a much lower level of pixel art that serious illustration like this. it's nearly an entirely different medium

but anyway....

berry you're better than me at like everything artistically and now you're taking pixels from me too >:O!!!! but really this is fantastic and i have some very minor criticisms that can help you out I think

http://bb.xieke.com/files/percy.gif[/img]

the things that I changed are PIXELFAG NITPICKS that most people don't care too much about, but they have very subtle effects that make pixel pieces work stronger. as an artist you are absolutely fantastic and i'm definitely seeing a blending of traditional art techniques and pixel techniques in this. but don't be afraid to go ALL-OUT with the pixel stuff.

the BIGGESt change that i made was in the color palette. ANd i didn't change a single color. i used your pre-exisiting colors and managed to eliminate a lot of others (i think like 6 colors i eliminateD?). as a result the palette is a lot more unified but it still has the feeling of different colors because the proportions of each shade changes what color they are. does that make sense? (compare skin to hair, they both use the exact same colors but in different amounts). you know what i mean you're an artist. but in terms of pixel art you have a set palette and it works a lot differently than making pretty colors with painting, and coming up with creative uses for different combinations of your fixed colors to REPRESENT other colors is a big part of pixel art (its what separates the men from the boys)

as a whole i reduced 22 colors to 13 (!!!!) according to photoshop at least

the other thing i did was just lots of anti-aliasing and softening up the lines. if something's going to animated like a sprite or whatever than this kind of smoothing isnt usually necessary, but in a larger static piece it can do a lot to make it feel less jagged

i hope that helps i love you :)

Hehehe how cute is that?? Her right arm looks bent at an odd angle though. Like it's going at a 160 degree angle then when it hits the glove, it goes straight down.

Nice colors and shading, like always :thumb:

Oh and something I noticed about PS, maybe it'd help you, is to occasionally (like every 20-30min) just shut the whole program down and then restart it. I think it's something like the undo log building up too much and it causes lag. Shutting down the prog releases that cache, so when you start the program back up it's on a clean slate.

This ESPECIALLY works with Flash too, in case anyone's using that and they wonder why Flash gets laggy after a while.
