Wyatt, if your server is located in Britain (which is where I'm assuming you live) won't there be some considerable lag from players in the US?  Or is this not gonna be a problem?

If this game is as good as it looks, I'll probably buy a premium account (or whatever it is they're called.)

Well, I play *a certain mmo* on American servers all the while with no more or less lag than on British servers.

Plus £600 is nothing compared to the £5,000 Amanda Fae spent on Aveyond or the £5,000 (as far as I heard) Diegoale is planning to spend on Dreams.

If it does happen soon, then it will be after the week after next, and before seven weeks from now. This week and next week are no good as I'm on holiday next week (i.e. 18th onwards), for a week. After than, I have five weeks off 6th form, so I can keep watch over the server or whatever. But there's things to be finished, and stuff, so... I don't know. We'll see.

New website, just for Vengeance. Just a little area seperate to the forums where Vengeance stuff can be posted, as people keep PMing me asking about Vengeance as well... the forums don't exactly explain a lot.

It's on a seperate subfolder for now while I finish it.

Edit: Apparently being clever with html doesn't cut it, and it takes more than just copying and pasting the code for the register box. I've linked it to the forum register page now instead, that should work with no problems.



Update

Fixed registration, by removing the CAPTCHA tag thing. People have always been having trouble with it anyway. If we get major bot trouble I'll add it back in. Also, I've begun scripting a character page and character search page. What little is made so far can be seen by clicking the blue button on the home page. It's not much at the moment, but when the game is released you'll be able to type in any character ID and it will show you their info (i.e. their stats and such). I don't know any PHP, which is what it will require, but I'll try my best.

The top players list is a placeholder, when the demo is released it'll hopefully be real.

Venetia is just a joke, hence all the other names there (it reads as a sentence).

Totally not trying to be rude, but... Why in so many of your posts you say the release date for the demo, or should be release date, why not just tell us when your ready instead of getting our fricking hopes up! The game looks so massively cool, i read all 12 pages of the thread, im looking forward to this ALOT.  You must be a very dedicated and intelligent person to be doing this all on your own, why dont you accept help? I DO map outdoor maps very well if your interested though. Inside.. eh, not so much (very very cluttered)  Good job, congrats on your achievements so far,looking forward, yadah yadah yadah... If you'd read all 12 pages you'd have seen when someone last asked for a release date, I said no, as the three release dates I've posted I haven't been able to meet. :p

Anyway. I don't accept help because I dislike working in a team using RMXP. Teamwork works well in other programs, but in RMXP it just isn't feasible. Plus I am a massive perfectionist and always pick out flaws in other people's work they make for me, making them angry and making me seem like a jerk. I like to do everything myself, I dunno why that's just the way I am.

Plus of course since this game is being sold commercially I'd rather not have the legal entanglements of working as a team.

Yeah I definitely second that this looks like it's coming out to be good and I'll support this.

Also on a side note I've always wanted to comment in this thread so I could keep up to date on it but I never really had anything important to say :D
