I just thought of something. How could thousands of players fight the same boss, do the same quests, go through the same dialouges, etc.?
That doesn't really make sense. :l
Same as any offline RPG.
Player interactivity is something I seriously need to think about and I appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
At current my thoughts are:
Already Implemented
- Chat
- Trading (items, gold)
- Seeing other players (minor, but obviously actually seeing other players is better than games like Adventure Quest)
Going to Implement
- vPvP
A concept I came up with where you enter the ID number of another player, and it spawns an enemy with their stats, equipment, and looks. You fight a virtual form of their character.
- PvP
Player versus player combat; you fight other players in real time. vPvP is a backup to this because well, if there's nobody online, there's no-one to fight, eh?
- TvT
Team versus team. Speaks for itself really.
- Leaderboards
Leaderboards for skills and combat levels. Some people hate 'em, some people love 'em. It's there for the people that love 'em.
- Cooperative Battles
Several people, or teams, fighting one boss, or many bosses/enemies, at once.
- Cooperative Wars
Single player-ish, but everyone's kills are tallied up and cool stuff happens when goals or targets are met.
