The regular, twitchy-gorey crap is always good for a quick fright, but do you remember the first Ecco the Dolphin? The glyphs and that gigantic octopus that'd kill you in one hit. Those prehistoric monsters, too, in the later levels. Those things freaked me right the f*** out as a kid :'P

That was targeted at a younger audience, but a.) it was hard as hell, and b.) it was actually pretty creepy, especially the music and the cryptic messages and the aliens.

Plus, when Ecco gets hurt he goes "AAAGGAGAGAGHH" REALLY loud, and that always made me jump if I'd gone a while without damage :'<

I remember that game. Wow. It DID have some sort of creepy element to it... but I was like 8 or 9 when I played it so I can't really recall story details. I do remember more specifically Ecco Jr. where you could play as like some Orca whale and some other dolphin girl thing, and I remember being really creeped out by the music and one screen where it said in oh-so-creepy writing: "No dolphins have ever attacked a human being. Human beings attack dolphins" Or something like that. Wow. Weirdness. Thanks for the memory Ven.

FINAL FANTASY VII: When you first see Jenova while your sneaking around the ShinRa Building. That image just gives me chills up my spine.

BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL: Just the appearence of the final boss in that game is enough to give me nightmares.

A while ago, I was watching my ex. play 'Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time'. He was going through a water temple that had these spiders occasionally dropping down to attack him. I was getting a little bored, so I made a little paper ball and threw it at his chest. I guess he was very alert, because the next thing that happened was he screamed, threw the controller straight at the TV hard enough to bust it (controller, not the TV), jumped a foot off the couch and fell back behind it. I guess he thought a Zelda spider dropped on his chest and just freaked out. He'd probably say that was the scariest game moment for him.

As for me, I'd have to say ... Pyramid Head. There's one part of SH2 where you're trapped in a minuscule room with him and he just swings at you. Very scary!

The second place would have to go to Siren. The prologue mission has you try to escape from an insane cop that's shooting at you. After many many many tries, I finally figured out that I needed to get a key from a little cabin. So, I went in, got the key, opened the door to go back out and the cop was right there, laughing. He shot me :( I never got much further in that game.

GIANT LOL there because the EXACT same thing happened to me when i played that game. I got passed that part tho, and never really played as well. I didn't know, however, that if you get in the car and just sit there, he can actually shoot trhough the window and kill ya.

The first Resident Evil; when it FIRST came out, my dad got it, but the case it came in was that of a helicopter game (i still dont know why it was in another case...) so when i started it, I had NO idea what i was in for... (and you know, it starts off with a helicopter, hahaha). Anyways, I couldnt figure out what to do and ended up staying in that first room (the dinning room) when a zombie suddenly opens the door and comes in! That fraked the living crap out of me because no one was there to even warn me what i was in for *dies*

I have the same experiences as Kraft does- I don't have a specific moment in any game that made me wet my pants and throw the controller at the screen in fear, or branded me for life. It's full of a lot of little less scarier moments.

I'm just jumpy when I play horror games so a lot of "popping out at you" things scare me.

Silent Hill, PSOne - I'm in the school and running along the lockers when a body just falls out of a locker and on top of me.

Resident Evil Director's Cut, PSOne - I walk down one of the first corridors and the stupid dogs come crashing into the corridor through the windows. I was *not* expecting that.

Resident Evil remake, Gamecube - At the very beginning of the game, I'm walking around as Jill and step into what I think was a study room. There's a swinging lamp at the ceiling and casted a very scary shadow of Jill.

I'm a coward, yay! Haha.

Mine one was like in Resident Evil 4 where Leon S. Kennedy's head is being chainsawed off by a chainsaw guy

Same here ^^'....

Meh, this one is pathetic... Played The Sims for the first time. I was something around 7-8 year old then. I accidentally put a rocket inside the house, and then the house started to burn. One of the sims got killed, and at that time I was afraid of death and usually overreacted over such things, so when the Grim Reaper came, I closed the game (My parent's wasn't home then), then sat there and tried to calm myself down for the next 15 minutes. Didn't play The Sims then for 6 months... >___>

lol, that was awesome. I hated the ghosts that appeared in that game though...

Ooohhh.... The ghosts. Well, they are still annoying, almost even more in The Sims 2.

Another scary game: Fahrenheit. Well, the game isn't that scary, just that you get stressed so easily. One scary thing is that when you have opened the cupboard in the toilet (it has a mirror on the outside) bandaged yourself and then close it, you'll see a man there that isn't even there. Another scary thing is Agatha's house. Pitch black, just a few candles to light the place up. And Agatha.... She's blind, but she act's like she can see. And she has a room with cages. In the cages: Crows. I like crows, but that room was a bit to much....

Here's a funny one.

Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation, for the Dreamcast.

In the pyramid level (Tomb of Seth), just after Seth is brought back to life, you come into a room with 4 sarcophagi. You do a little puzzle, thinking it's harmless, when suddenly every sarcophagus pops open and mummies come out, which take like 5 shotgun shells to kill.

They were retarded, and slow, and made dumb sounds, and were like 100 polygons, but for some reason it scared me shitless when I first played it. And I was like 17 so I can't blame it on being young o_o

Those creepy little surprise-mummies tripped me out worse than that in Silent Hill: the Room, when you walk into a hospital room and find the entire back wall is a face with googly eyes. Seriously, those retarded mummies freaked me out.

Most of "the white chamber". StudioTrophis' one. Not... whatever the other one is.
Thanks to this game, nothing else has scared me ever... pretty much. Nothing can match it. D:

And since TREG reminded me, the sudden battle start with the Boogey Tent in EB made me jump... although maybe it was because I was emulating it (eheheh) and I was holding down the "speed" button. *shifty eyes*

Back when I was younger (I can't remember my exact age anymore) and the first Silent Hill game came out, I was pretty much on the verge of urinating myself throughout the whole game >.>...

When Doom3 came out for Xbox, I was playing it, and I was sitting really close to the screen, and it was really quiet. I turned around, because I had just encountered a dead end, and a really really fat zombie was about 2 inches away from my character. I think that one actually made me scream....
That was embarrasing. -_-

To be perfectly honest, nothing scares me. I have probably seen all the weirdest of the weird there is, and nothing makes me jump.

The only game I was really all that scared of playing was the remake of the original Resident Evil, and maybe some of the more disgusting parts of the Silent Hill saga. Nothing else made me cower, wimper or shake. Clock Tower was a close runner-up though.

As for movies, there were a few that made me feel engaged in fear. But that only lasted 10 minutes at the most.

In xenogears, there's Krelian's Lab... you see lots of creppy stuff... but the music it's creepy as hell! So, when I was playing it one night my mom just popped into the room... and it scared the shit outta me! I was playing all day long, and she walked in suddenly while music played...

I dont know if your talking about the same part but when they find ID and that one girl with green hair (emeralda? please forgive its been 4 years since i even thought about xenogears). In general that game is scary all-around.

Ive always been Hardcore- Anti- Resident evil, i just never got into them but Dino Crisis was the shit and pretty scary(although it was just a RE clone), Extermination for Ps2 was the first time i played it.:thumb:
