Scariest moment: Never really had one, as I don't play many horror games. The worst moment for me was when I had to fight Andreia (or whatever her name is) in DiabloII. She may have been the first actual "boss" of the game, but getting to her was such a bitch, and loosing to her meant you had to climb down the previous five levels without your armour, weapons or potions. That, and her temple had pools of blood bubbling out of it, knowing that she tortured those previously there in pretty gruesome ways.

Either that, or Duriel (the demon who bled maggots).

That would... never.. uhh... happen to me?
*eyes dart back and forth*

I never should have revealed that little detail to you guys... >.<

I got two!

One: In Gears of War where you first encounter the Berserker. I nearly crapped myself..

Two: Bioshock.. The whole game mostly haha :P

If you were playing Silent Hill 2 in that enviroment and that happened, you would piss yourself too.

Also, to the guy who mentioned Pyramid Head, I have to agree. Just seeing that guy in game trying to maul you was scary enough as it is, but the fact that you were usually trapped in the same room as him didn't help.

I also have to agree about when the Iron Maidens (Those Regenerators, but spikey) first show up in RE4. Though it didn't make up for the fact that RE4 was the least scary of all the games.

Mine would be in resident evil 1 when I first played it and when
u open a door it makes a creepy sound and BAM!! zombie. Scared
the hell out of me. :blink02::fire02:

Has to be in FEAR when I go to turn around to go down this fuckin ladder and there is just this girl out of no where. Classic scare tactic got me real good.

That and the overall crazy scariness of games like Fatal Frame and Doom 3.

Oh. Fear. Bane of my existance. Good use of well, fear! in that game.
Scariest part for me was lately, playing Condemned on the 360. That game knows how to scare you. Its seriously one of the scariest (And, most fun) games Ive played, and I hate horror games usually. Oh, and the top points about that game that I found freaky:

Characters name is Ethan Thomas, everyone calls him Thomas. my name is Thomas, Actual audio telling you "I've been following you, Thomas.." at 2am in the dark is...unsettling.
And the coup de grace:

A significant portion of that game takes place in St. Josephs Secondary School, a closed down Juvenile Detention Center.. the school I attended was called St. Josephs Secondary school.. I had many a sleepless night with the lights on while I was playing that game.

I recommend this to anyone who likes FPS games like Chronicles of Riddick. Its like that + RE + FEAR + CSI.

O.o Maybe the Game director or whoever, story writer,Grew up in the same town as you, Cypher, and randomly pulled out a kid in the school and it happend to be you? >> -cough-

LoZ: MC
When your by the castle and have to get by the guards.
My heart missed a beat when one caught me..

LoZ: PH
Phantoms....
Jumped when one caught me in the temple of the ocean king!!

Plus I used to be afraid of on Super Smash brothers for N64 when it said FAILURE...
Had nightmares... *shiver*

Yes that is it...omg...i though I would never see it again. The only thing different, perhaps it was because I was on 360 *shrug* was she was closer, and it happend a lot quicker and sudden...it was bad.

I'd have to say:

Silent Hill:
I first played this when it first came out back in '99, so I was like erm.... *counting* 12 years old and me and my buddy were playing at the school, and we got to the one part where you see the clock tower. I have no clue why but it was sheer coincidence that it was 10:00PM in real life, and 10:00PM in game so we got pretty freaked out. Out of nowhere one of those stupid zombie kids comes flying out right when we re-enter the building sending both of us backwards screaming. Actually, it's really funny now that I think about it, but it was scary as hell when I was 12.

Metal Gear Solid 2:
Okay, so I was older when I played this (16 or 17 I think), and I would have NEVER expected to be creeped out! I know it was stated already in a post prior, but the part where the Colonel starts saying all that random gibberish sent chills down my spine. And when he said "turn off your playstation right now" I REALLLLLLY got creeped out.

fatal frame 2 was fuckin creepy. especially with the woman that falls over the 3rd floor railing when youre going down the stairs.. christ, that scared the shit out of me @_@

@Cheeze: Ha ha, I dont think so, I live in a small town in rural ireland surrounded by bogs, moors and forests, not the urban decay of an inner city. And I know everyone in town. Prolly just freaky coincidences (I hope) :D

In SM64, in Big Boo's Haunt, when you're gathering the red coins, and you go to get the one by the piano and the piano comes alive and goes "Chomp [Bad Piano Chord]" at you and follows you.

That fucked me up for like 2 years.

In Gex: Enter The Gecko, the Red Ghosts that scream and follow you unless you were in the light. That fucked me up too.

In Dora The Explorer, when it exists.

In Perfect Dark, when the Skedar try to rape/maul you at the same time with their clawdicks.

In umm... I forget the title, but I was playing it, and I heard this monster roar, and at the same time, my friend had a laser pointer at my head, and my cat was in the room and I was like "Holy Fucking Shit! The Game Is Alive!"

And in Banjo-Kazooie, Clanker's Caravan, I was swimming into to Clanker's area, and I saw him and I was freaked out because I thought he was gonna kill me.
