I've got one! My first time getting hit by a car while walking (fortunately, my only time)! For anyone that's familiar with Columbus, OH, you'll probably know what I'm talking about. Otherwise...

Broad street in Columbus is a relatively long road. It pretty much goes from one end of Columbus to the other and then some. That said, I was living in Whitehall, on the Eastern edge of Columbus, at the time. I was pretty much walking and taking the bus to and from school/work for a couple of years while I lived there because I didn't have a car. That said, the bus routes in Columbus really aren't all that great. The recommended route to get from where I lived all the way to my college was to take a bus ALL the way downtown, then another one down to the college.
Yeah...this took about 2 hours to reach a college that should've taken about 30 minutes. In any case, you might be wondering about the map. Well, my friends and I devised a way to slash the travel time. If you got off at Broad and Nelson, then walked up Nelson a ways, you'd come across the other bus if you timed it right. Problem is even if you "timed it right," it would often still be an hour instead of 2 hours. Better, but yeah. Anyway, at this point I believe Broad is split into either a 4 or 5 laner.
Well, the other problem here is that if you were going to cross Broad, you had to be QUICK because you had to hit the button, wait, then you'd get maybe 15 seconds to cross that many lanes! I hit the button, wait, it turns green, I look both ways, take 2 steps, SEE THE CAR AT THE LAST SECOND THAT RAN THE RED LIGHT, PUT UP MY KNEE AND PALMS, AND HAD MY HANDS SKID ACROSS THE SIDE WINDOWS AND MY KNEE COMPLETELY TAKE OUT HER SIDE MIRROR. YEAH. I fell to the ground.
A couple of seconds later, I got up, but I didn't know my condition and I was in a state of shock, thinking that maybe somehow the light was red after all and oh my God just GET ACROSS THE DAMN ROAD. I raced across the road, then the car STARTED TO PULL AWAY. I tried to chase it via sidewalk until eventually she pulled over into a parking area on the other side of the road. I had to cross the road again, NO TRAFFIC LIGHT, so I could get her insurance information, etc. Fortunately, we had a witness and I was feeling okay, except for my knee, which was a little banged up.
Here's the best part of the situation...the following conversation...
Her: "I just, I...I mean, if you were any further out in the road..."
Me: "I know."
Her: "I'm just so glad you're okay."
Me: "We don't know that...my knee still hurts."
Her: "Well, yeah, but you could've been a lot worse!"
Me: "...Right, I know."
Her: "But, I just...I...I mean, who's going to take care of my side mirror?"
Me:  "...Erm...I don't know."
I managed to contain myself and talked with the witness until the police arrived. Yeah, she received a nice ticket and later I went to the hospital to fortunately find out it was only a bruised knee, no real injury. Fun stuff.
