XAS Action Rpg System (Secret Of Mana Styled)

Yeah Mimi Chan, I can understand your frustration.

However, Moghunter appears to be on a 'Zelda high' at the minute which I'm personally loving - I hold Zelda as the ultimate ABS, a template by which every subsequent ABS has been compared to in my mind. So I'm looking forward to all new features, I can only hope he fulfils your needs as well.

I had the same problem and what I've been doing is taking a large template, centering my character and then adding all the animations. Works just fine and makes sure I won't have any pixel-decals on the next animations I'm working on and may be a bit bigger.

3.72 Updates include:

Main
- Revision of the scripts, classes and modules.
They were divided into smaller, more managable pieces and better codified, it is now much easier to resolve issues concerning:
Customization / Compatibility issues / Fixing Bugs / Creating Script Add-ons (plug-ins) / Optimizing the System
- Improved the jump system.

Scripts Add-ons
- Enemy HP (Update) – Meter dynamic effect tremor and slide.
- OVERDRIVE (Update) – Receive increases the damage meter OVD.
- GENERAL (Update) – Improved coding of scripts.

He also added a new boss as part of the Jump/Throw tutorial and the enemy bars have been dramatically improved.

I'm glad Moghunter done away with the need to have 2 or 3 overdrive bars per level - now you just have 2 and they alternate - makes much more sense.

I think it's quite reminiscent of the Zelda games and Roc's Feather.

The problem is there are only so many buttons for RPG Maker XP which I think XAS utilizes well given that you can do so much. There are keyboard scripts out there that add functionality but who is to say if the script will remain compatible with XAS? Moghunter may add this functionality as and when he needs to.

To make things a little more manageable Wiggles has released a hot key script over at http://www.gameface101.playogame.com - you'll still have to equip those boots but at least you don't have to go into the quick menu and select them every time.

The B button is still free in the XAS button configuration so someone might want to make an edit and allocate the jump mechanism to that.

Just a quick heads up - version 3.8 has been released. You can download a fully translated version from XAS Tutorials.

Make sure to pick up a copy of the XAS manual whilst you're there (see DOWNLOAD section) - you can also download the entire package including all the new HUDs (see main page).
 
Wow. I have to say, the moving platform system is the coolest system yet, especially combined with jumping and falling. That said, Moghunter's pumping out updates faster than I can edit them :mad:
 
I'm working with v3.8 and I was wondering if there was a way to turn off the Hero animation. Basically I don't want my Hero breathing to be animated.
 
@souloux : just delete (XRXS - Animated Char) for erasing hero animation.
can anyone tell me where in the script for changing quick skill/item like in XAS V3.7 (where u just push Q/W for quick change) and not like in V3.8 where u have to choose skill/item.....i keep looking but cant find it :blank:

@Proto : to change the lenght of jump go to
XAS
command list
MISC => page : 200 = (hero jump normal)
page : 202 = (hero jump running)
just change it to make it jump as far as u want....never tried changing the original though :biggrin:
 
Does anybody know how to modify this script to stop enemies re-spawning after defeating them?
...i don't want them reappearing after exiting and re-entering a map.

I dont want to use the DEFEAT_SWITCH_IDS, as it's for a lot of enemies and not just bosses. :grin:

i found a great little script by Mr Wiggles 'XAS - Respawn Timer' at gameface101.com. You can stop enemies re-spawning by adding a comment on the first page of the enemy event...and delay spawning etc. yay!
