What games are you currently playing?

Mafia 2 is terrible, I hated every second of the demo, and I was REALLY hyped about it... the graphics TRIED to be good, but there were so many jaggedy edges it hurt, low textures in too many places, the only good thing were the cutscenes (They actually looked nice and were done REALLY well) and the explosions when you're on the MG in the window (I shot those two cars), otherwise it's just bad.

I did however, play the Kayne and Lynch 2 demo for the first time today... I didn't play the first game, but shit this demo felt amazing, the way the camera moved as if a camera man was following me, the gunplay was a little basic but really fun (Human shield in games is win), and I loved just shooting random civilians, I even liked how it censored things out, since it added to the feel that a camera man was following me and they weren't allowed to show blood/gore on whatever they were filming for. I don't know, I've got no idea, but I REALLY enjoyed it, I'll be buying it eventually I think, but first I'll play the first to get me up to speed.

Oh and what else annoys me about Mafia 2, especially on PS3, is that the version got shafted in the graphics department;

no clue what you mean by these jaggies, because i'm currently playing it on the pc version, and everything looks amazing. the physx is top notch. so sweet to see all the broken glass and cement/particles all over the place.

Oh yeah the PC version is meant to look the dogs bollocks, but PS3 version (Which I had preordered the Collectors Edition) looks pretty terrible, I cancelled my preorder because I can't look at something so bad for so long. Maybe I'll try the PC demo.

bought some ps3 games yesterday! currently working on playing inFamous, little big planet, and ratchet & clank: tools of destruction. they're all great games but i feel like i'd have a lot more fun playing lbp with other people.

inFamous is great so far but i heard the combat starts getting repetitive towards the end? climbing up buildings is fun, although i seem to be dying a lot. :I

and tools of destruction is just great. i like to think of it like i'm playing a pixar movie which somehow makes it ten times better.

woot infamous! one of the best games this gen so far! only problem with thegame is that its to short and easy but overall a great game... and btw dont play prototype... so bad lol

I thought Prototype was good, honestly. inFamous was cool too, but it did get very annyoing and repetitive.

Was Prototype the one where you played the super-powered electricity dude? I played it for like an hour but I didn't do any missions tbh, I just dicked around like it was a super-powered Grand Theft Auto.

Speaking of which, what's Saint's Row 2 like? I'm told it's exactly that and it sounds crazy and amazing.

And Saints Row 2 is fucking INCREDIBLE, seriously if you like dicking around in games, it's one of the best...

oh, and I'm just waiting for Portal 2 at the moment, trying to earn enough for a PS3. I've been going back to LoZ: TP recently. I haven't beaten it yet

Made a new save file on Final Fantasy for PSP, just playing through as the usual Fighter, Thief, White Mage, Black Mage. On one of my playthroughs I had Fighter, Fighter, Fighter, Red Mage, and to be honest we kicked arse through the entire game, but meh.

thanks to Moe i have had lunar tunes stuck in my head so i broke out my CD and played silver star; it surprisingly still worked! these graphics are shittacular though, but god do i still love this game. its so cheesy and i prefer the battle theme from Complete, but the gameplay still holds up just as well as it did over 10 years ago. i just beat nash's ass, so im getting close to the end of the game.

after i finish this im gonna start grandia xtreme. its the only one in the series i havent beaten but I ordered a copy from ebay; i love grandia to death so im excited.

Speaking of which, what's Saint's Row 2 like? I'm told it's exactly that and it sounds crazy and amazing.

yes, saint's row 2 is amazing. it has THE best co-op of any game, ever. you and your friend aren't restricted to anywhere/anything, you can do anything at any time, buy clothes for your guy, weapons.. doesn't restrict your friend's play at all (unlike fable 2.. worst co-op ever). the ONLY downside to the sr2 coop is that if you're trying to not have police on you (like trying to climb a building or get a really sweet jump on a car), and your friend does something to attract cops, the cops come after you as well. however, the way wanted level works in that game it's hardly that much of a problem. i can't wait for sr3, but it's not coming until 2012, those bastards.

Something else annoying in Saints Row 2 is if someone pauses the game, it pauses for you too, don't like that...

But oh well, it's still one of the best games ever made for dicking around, and puts any GTA game to shame, just for the sheer amount of things to do...

Grab your friend and throw them off a skyscraper, check.
Pull a handstand on a moving vehicle, check.
Rip a fire hydrant out of the floor and club someone to death, check.
Throw bags of garbage at people, check.
Run around as a man with nothing but a bright pink bra and thong, check.
Use a defibrillator to shock someone to death, then again to revive them, check.

There's tons of things to do on the game, it's just amazing, even if the graphics seem a little plain, fuck it, the game is just like, the best.
