Ven: I sided with the scientist too, but i didn't go with tosh and decided to take out the fliers. The last mission was pretty easy for me, though I did have a few close calls. I just built a bunch of perdition turrets and bunkers (filled with just marines), then focused on researching and pumping out battle-cruisers and thors. What did you think about the ending? I was a bit disappointed that she wasn't fully human again, but if she was we wouldn't be able to play her in the zerg expansion, now would we?

im kind of confused about how raynor was so hell-bent on turning her human after all of the protoss quests that implied that the queen of blades was the key in stopping the ultimate evil guy.

if she's still semi-QoB though i guess that's the key? unlimited zerg population control potential with human altruism or something idk

when you take out the nydus worms you don't have any unexpected pop-ins in the middle of your base but the fliers come from all directions and you're still bombarded on the ground by all the land-moving zerg and QoB. so i had to put both perdition turrets and anti-air turrets absolutely everywhere and my thors and battlecruisers kept getting owned from shit hitting them with ranged attacks--and any stealth shit could never work b/c overseers & overlords were everywhere. eventually i had to pretty much give up on making individual units and just made a shitload of SCVs (guarded by Medivacs) make a fuckton of turrets and set them to repair. I also busted out a number of marines just to clean up zerglings that were spat into the base randomly.

i was real unhappy about my focus on upgrading my spectres when i never even got to use them much at all. im thinking about playing it again because i fucked up on way too much of my research spending and made shit unnecessarily difficult. by the time i got to the good upgrades and merc units all my money was gone :/

i've done some cpu-stomps with a couple of friends a few times now but i'm still nervous about going pvp :P
i'm so fuckin slow and always play defensively rather than offensively.

bought some ps3 games yesterday! currently working on playing inFamous, little big planet, and ratchet & clank: tools of destruction. they're all great games but i feel like i'd have a lot more fun playing lbp with other people.

inFamous is great so far but i heard the combat starts getting repetitive towards the end? climbing up buildings is fun, although i seem to be dying a lot. :I

and tools of destruction is just great. i like to think of it like i'm playing a pixar movie which somehow makes it ten times better.

infamous is great, until you realize what they've done for infamous 2.. just.. don't look at stuff for infamous 2 until you've finished 1. it will ruin your experience (not story wise, just the combat changes they've done).

as a side note, what's your psn? i'm psiclone, as if you didnt already know

Hey cool, you got LittleBigPlanet!

I wouldn't say the combat on inFamous gets TOO repetitive, since you get more skills as you go along, but meh, and yeah, the enemies have pinpoint accuracy or something, it's really annoying, but the game is amazing.

And yeah, Tools of Destruction is fun, has tons of funny moments too, and you're right it DOES look like a pixar movie, lol.

Infamous was the most over hyped piece of crap ever to be released on the playstation. Since you hafta charge your electricity everytime you want to do something cool, you end up just using your standard shock attack the ENTIRE game.

while necrile is exaggerating a little, it's partly true. enemies can shoot you with aimbot (read, if you hear a gunshot, chances are it is aimed for you, and WILL hit you) from across the entire map, but the only thing you can do is your shock bolt (zoomed in mode). you have to be pretty damn close to enemies to use your other abilities except the good version of the triangle skill, i don't remember what it was called. but you shoot this slow moving grenade/bomb, and when you use your shock bolt, the bomb homes in on the shock you just did, really nice.

inFamous was TONS better than Crackdown and Prototype, but I enjoyed Prototype a shit ton more than Crackdown. I don't get what Necrile has against the game, maybe it was too hard for him.

Not hard for me. I beat it just fine, and besides.. I like hard games. No, it was the fact that you were almost forced to use the standard shock attack the entire game.
