Lol yeah, but it's only the EU Beta anyways, US had theirs over Christmas I believe, or sometime back then anyways, lol.

It's pretty much the first 100,000 people to download it gets to be in the Beta, lol.

Play it with 3 other ppl then, each added player increases the difficulty :thumb:

Or you could just not listen to reviews and do it yourself?

If every gaming mag told you that Sega Bass Fishing (Wii) was an amazing game with NO flaws, it scored 100%, 10/10, 40/40, etc etc. on EVERY review it had, was the most critically acclaimed game ever and won a fuckton of awards...

You'd still play it, despite HATING fishing? (If you do like fishing, replace the game with something you hate)

Seriously, just cause other people say it's great doesn't mean you have to believe 'em.

PS. Jumping from 4th story windows is fucking great, and everyone should try it, 96%

borderlands is crazy easy on single player. especially if you're a hunter. that class breaks the game it's so good.
try being a siren (IMO the worst class) in a multi-player bout. Much less easy.

yeh, hunter is ez-mode. you get an ability to ignore shields, so there's these enemies that have high shields + low life near the end of the game, and i kill them in about 1 shot, while my buddy as the siren took forever.

except this scenario assumes that every gaming mag is wildly untrustworthy and clinically insane

only most of them are like that

A single phase walk is enough (with radiance) to take out every shield of every enemie on the screen so I wouldn't really call it the worst ability :s (Imho berserk is the most useless, against weak enemies its good, but against 2 strong ones your toast).

LMAO idk alot of people since they have only given like 11 or so perfect scores? xD

of course you could use game informer or nintendo power or whatever shitty mag you read
1) Famitsu has a bad name regarding scores, and no game deserves a perfect score.
2) I don't buy any magazines, and I'm not interested in the score (there are few exception) only the good/bad points

then what's the point of its existence? scores are inherently arbitrary and pointless in the first place, so I don't see why it's a black mark to use different conventions in their use than other sources.

like, honestly, between something that does give perfect scores, and something that's just afraid to go under six or above nine point five, which is preferable?

there's nothing unreasonable about shortening the scale to encompass only the values which are present. if you have a graph from one to one hundred, and the higest value at any point is fifty and will always be fifty, it's acceptable in most cases to lower the range to one to fifty.

i dont have any problem with scores. they're not 100% trustworthy but if you take it on a ranged scale then they're seldom totally WRONG.

like typically on a 10-point scoring system I'll gravitate towards anything rating a 7.0 or higher. Typically (not always but usually) if a game gets lower than that, the negatives are too obvious for me to have patience for.

an obvious contender to this idea is Dynasty Warriors, which is always crazy fun for me despite it always scoring 5-6 because it's always the same game repackaged.

it's smart to go mainly by the good/bad points but at a glance a score is not a bad thing. for instance if something rates a 2 out of 10, it's probably fairly easy to assume that it's complete shit no matter what the good points are.

also if bass fishing got a 10/10, then that means it's a crazy good bass fishing title. of course people only interested in bass fishing are going to pick it up. thats the point of it being called bass fishing. just because YOU don't think it's fun doesn't mean it should score lower when someone who WOULD like it thinks it's crazy great.
