Finished Dragon Age yesterday really loved it. Especially how small conversations change the ending :D
(Yeah i'm leading a happy little life xD looking for Morrigan together with Leliana :p, and I let Alastair marry his brothers wife to xD)

well, if they had kept the game PS3 exclusive, they could have kept all the shit. but, no. they wanted to make it for a larger audience, and ultimately had to remove.. everything, apparently. just wait for FF versus. kthx.

HAHA what? 1. sqeenix has enough money to solve any compatibility problem by dead line. 2. xbox360 and ps3 have the same teenage to adult audience. 3. Format space issues are easily solved with watering down textures and other memory bears for the port. 4. Squeenix doesn't mind you thinking this because it allows you to overlook the fact that the franchise has been on a downward spiral since the ffvii golden days.

I really don't believe Squeenix has been doing that bad. I mean while FF6/FF4 may have been our favorites, FF7/9/10 weren't all that badly written (I'd add 8 there but the whole thing just didn't work for me. It seemed to appeal to a lot of others though). We can argue that the franchise might be getting more praise than it should, but that doesn't necessarily imply that it's bad. That could be just me setting the bar for bad really low though. Look at Hero's Saga, or that Lunar game that came on the DS. Different platforms, sure, but you just see the gaping difference in writing between that and a Final Fantasy. It's not so much that a Final Fantasy is awful, it's more of given the extravagant budgets given developing these games, you'd think they could produce something better.

Sabao, the fact is though, that Final Fantasy is pretty much a terrible franchise right now, they've kept it going too long...

I think that Squeenix are so obsessed with the amount of money they make, they've got this idea that they can make a game as terrible and dull as they like, and people will still buy it because it's got the Final Fantasy name, just like IW/Activision with Call of Duty and Bungie/MS with Halo.

Also, just though I'd lol at this while I'm here... this tells me Squeenix are going to rape the fuck out of DLC by adding a few of these areas per download... which makes another half finished game.

to me the game seems like a thin excuse to have sort of uncanny valley-looking nun wear a lot of japanese fetish stuff

the gameplay is up 'cause I haven't actually played it, but the aesthetic creeps me out pretty majorly

then again that entire genre has been all about creepy fanservice for the past few years so
