What games are you currently playing?

Rented The last of us. Playing on easy, hoping I can finished it in a couple days if not sooner. I don't really like these types of games but I felt like I needed to play something new for a change. I wish redbox had more of a selection.

Awesome Bro

Might take you longer than a couple of days, it's actually pretty lengthy for what it is...

Then again, you're playing on easy so you should finish it quicker than the average person, provided you don't explore and stuff too, It took me just over 18 hours to finish it, and that included exploring, finding some collectibles, and pretty much taking my time with clicker encounters and stuff.

I made it to winter. It got a lot harder all of a sudden. I made it through most of the game without using guns. It was easier to charge people and punch instead of waiting for them to pop around corners and aim. And if I got swarmed I'd throw a molotov right in front of me. But now I've got nothing to work with, so it's just memorizing when and where the enemies break in.
Almost made it to the end of this one swarm but the game froze when a bloater threw it's thing the same time my nail bomb went off.

I don't know if the multiplayer is as active when it came out, but I remember having a lot of fun with it over the summer. Also, Wargame here (obviously due to the steam sale).

Been playing a few games from the latest Humble Bundle. Mostly Batman Arkham Asylum. I'm not a big Batman fan but the game is allright I suppose.

Also: does anyone want a 40% off coupon for Company of Heroes 2 ? (Steam) I've already got it myself and no one I know seems to be interested in the game.

Vanquish. Oh my I love that game. Most lines Sam Gideon says are just epic.
And the dialogue between Sam and Burns are always priceless.
Burns: Miss me, sweetheart?
Sam: Jesus, you? I liked you better when I thought you were dead.
Burns: And I liked you better when I didn't have to hear your shit!
If you haven't played it yet, you should. It's fun and quirky while being entirely serious and challenging. There are some parts where you will die A LOT, but if you keep smart, you'll be fine.
As a person who doesn't really like FPS/TPS' I think Vanquish just about saved the genre for me.

I also got some of the DLC animals for Tokyo Jungle. Fucking amazing game altogether.

and then I started playing FFX from the start. I've started to like it again. I used to hate it.

OH And I downloaded Rain. I haven't got the chance to play it yet, but it seems like it's going to be a pretty chill game.

Killzone: Shadowfall. I'm not sure why its getting the reviews that it has on metacritic, I actually am enjoying the multiplayer WAY more than BF4.

So I got the chance to play rain.
It's alright.
Because it's so story based it's another one of those hand holdy games.
I'm half way through the game and it's still showing me what to do, the only times it gets challenging is when it does these After cut-scene action bits, where the enemy has seen you and you must run away to a certain place, infact there was one bit where the unknown hasn't yet seen you, but will do, and I didn't know where to go. After dying like 5 times, I realized you have to run around the gate and back the way you came. This is because the camera angles often show you where you have to go, so having it not facing the place I had to go, I instinctively ran the opposite way.
So the game is hand holdy, and when it's not, it is instead, "Go this exact way, or die"
With all this being said, the story, soundtrack and actual gameplay are great, the game manages to scare me, but then again I'm easily scared.
So in all, it's good. I think it's worth the money.

Going to hook the old PS2 up in my room and try completing this backlog of games. I think I was halfway through Ar Tonelico II. I've never gotten past this water temple area in Valkyrie Profile 2, or maybe the area right after it. I also have a handful of early ps2 titles that are low polygon graphics that I'm not sure I can stomach, like I got maybe a third of the way through Summoner, and I've never touched Summoner 2.
Oh, I completely forgot about Dragon Quest 8. Pretty close to the end of that game, I'll think I'll start by finishing that.
