So I'm about a third into Jak 3 (After only two and a half hours... this game is going to be way shorter than the second, that took me around 14 hours to finish... the way this is going it'll end up at 7-8 hours...) and so far, it's still a mixed bag, there's a few nitpicks, such as Jak looking retarded with his hair style (It's TOO short, it bugs me and makes his head look too small from behind, lol), and the shotgun feels... slower, I can't spam it as quick which isn't too great, however, there's things I really do like, such as the weapon mods, I love the blaster with its bouncing bullets, it's great for saving ammo, since one bullet can kill like 3 enemies at once. I also like how you have lots more health, when I first started Jak II I thought it was great because I saw 8 health sections, turns out you could only get hit 4 times anyway, or more on rare occasions that you come across small enemies that do little, whereas on Jak 3 I can get hit like 6-7 times so far, and I see there's room to add more health, probably comes with more armour...
The driving feels better since it's actually road vehicles, although it's still not great, and it's hard to drive around anywhere anyway because those desert people chase you all over and ram into you and shoot you, which is SO annoying! Also, talking about vehicles, those birds are just brilliant!
The "city" is tons smaller, but it isn't as complex, which is a good thing, but at the same time, I want it to be... bigger, not AS big, but bigger. The desert however, that place is fucking huge, too bad there isn't much to see though. There's also a little more colour than in Jak II, but it's still pretty dull.
Now, in terms of platforming, there's definitely more platforming than Jak II that's for sure, which is a good thing, I like platforming! But so far most missions have been vehicle based, which I'm sort of getting tired of already...
Also, yay got my Hoverboard again! But I doubt there's much to grind on, and not enough room to just randomly hover around doing tricks again... unless I go in the desert, but get rammed by like FOUR buggies within 10 seconds!
So far, the beginning of this game is definitely better than the start of the second, but it still doesn't feel anything like the first, which I'm a little upset about, guess I better get used to it...
