At first, I would have said the PSP, but now, I am leaning more towards the DS, I can't find many good games for the PSP that I havent got yet. The PSP has too many useless features, but the DS....Well, that has less. ^_^

Eventually, I belive that Sony will one day make a game console, but have no more room left for the games.

Nintendo DS, for sure.

1- Nintendo will never leave my heart cause i grew with it too.
2- Nintendo is mostly a Multiplayers gaming session. Thats what i like about the NDS.
3- About the DS been hard and unbreakable, i desagree. I broke the upper screen of my DS. I bought the Lite :P
4- a LOTS of my favorite games are coming pretty fast so i just have to be patient and wait for them to be in my hands. (Children of mana, Megaman ZX,etc)

I voted on Nintendo DS. I just feel there's a larger variety of games worth getting. From my experience when I owned a PSP, there wasn't much to buy and the games generally weren't up to my standards.

Plus the UMB thing was just stupid to me.

I've always been a Nintendo girl at heart. They'll always be with me, Vive Nintendo!

I like, and will soon own both.

I haven't seen any games on the DS which have amazing enough touchscreen features to really make me think its worthwhile. Sure it could be good, but at the moment, its over-rated.

Unfortunatly, the psp is almost useless in sunlight.

I heard that Kirby: Canvas Curse made really good use of the touch screen. I haven't played it, it was just something I read about the game.

Sorry i havn't posted in my topic latly but i was camping for the past 5 days and wow it seems alot of people like the ds more than the psp.

Maybe, but you also have to consider that the type of people who are likely to come here are the same people who are likely to prefer the ds.

I like the DS best... it plays more games I'd like to play than the PSP, and it's also cheaper in price. I still don't have one, but maybe times'll change :D (ah, I can't wait to play The Settlers 2 again ^_^ )

Im going to expand on what I said.

The people who like the DS are the more creative people, who are lured to the touch screen. Creative people are also the ones who use rmxp, and thus come here, and say how good the DS is.

The psp players are lured to the pure gaming power, and arent probably going to be intrested in a 2d game maker.

There are of course exceptions, this is just a theory.

A theory that's pretty wrong... As far as I know, if you don't update your PSP (a lot of people do), it's far easier to code for it than it is for the DS, so you can 'create' easier. I think you'd have to code in Lua, which sucks, but it's still there, and tons of people have made a lot of homebrew games for the PSP. But then again, I still don't have that much experience with a DS so it might be just that easy, only requiring a flash cart more.

The "popularity" seems to be based around the price. Considering most members here are between the ages of 13-18, they probably don't have the money to go buy a PSP and are turned on by the DSs cheap price which is 100% understandable.

The PSP is capable of a lot as the homebrew scene has proved. There's fast and working emulators for almost EVERY system (except the newer ones of course), quite a few popular PC games who's source code was rewritten for the PSP like NetHack and Flashback: Quest For Identity, and it's capable of playing flash games (newgrounds even rewrote most of their website to support the PSP) as well as movies. There are even comic books specifically designed for the PSP that utilize its widescreen for extra viewing (I have the entire Johnny the Homicidal Maniac collection on my PSP).

The PSP has some good games too but ironically, the good games are almost NEVER mentioned and people just see watered down versions of console games prominently featured. For every bad KING KONG on the PSP, there's a Gradius Collections or Mega Man Powered Up. The PSP games seem to get overall bad reviews but I've had more fun playing them than the writers generally state (as the PSP seems to be reviewed along the lines of a portable console... which it's NOT so the games almost always get a universally bad score).

The PSP is just a different system that appeals to different players. The DS will always have a price advantage over the PSP but gamers like me who have the money and appreciation to customize their system are drawn towards the PSP. Both the PSP and DS have their advantages and disadvantages (I HATE 3D games on the DS because they almost always look ugly but the PSP has load times interspersed everywhere) but to say that one console is complete GARBAGE is pretty ignorant as they're both well designed pieces of equipment aimed at different markets.

For me, the PSP is a money consuming machine with pretty good media capabilites (Having TRON and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure in the palm of your hand is a win.), but perfer the DS Opera Browser over the PSP's browser. It takes forever to type stuff, which reminds me of myself playing FF11 on the PS2 without a keyboard. And the lack of a scroll bar when viewing sites sucks, as you have to move by going to each link.

The DS makes the page smaller and magnifies certain parts of the web page if you can't read the text. Also, typing is easier with the touch screen, though it's still troublesome. All in all, I have an I-Pod if I wanna listen to music, and a digital camera to view photo's. The only games I've liked on the PSP are Lumines, Me & My Katamari (Then again, those are the only ones I have, so I'm not gonna pass judgement on the PSP on that part). So I use my PSP for movies basically.

If there's an option for 'Both' systems, why is there no option for 'Neither'?

It's kind of the odd choice out in this poll... like asking between "Chicken, Turkey, Duck, or Apple".

I'm with PSP, because it makes my life much more convient. When hurricane Katrina hit I could watch movies and shit plus play games, so definitely PSP. Aside from that I'm a huge supporter of Sony and Sony products.

Both because the DS has a lot of cool games and all...and I own it, but the PSP has a lot more mature games that I'd rather play.
