So, I was bored again, and clearly I start making Minecraft terrain generators when I’m bored. This was no exception. As with the other two generators that I’ve shown pictures of, this one uses no vanilla Minecraft code when generating chunks. These were all taken on a single run around a fairly small area (less than fifteen hundred square blocks), and they show markedly varied terrain. To note, there is no “bottom” to this world, there is no bedrock, and yes, there are open pits into the void. This is intentional. I’ve always liked such things, and this is one of a few generators I’ve toyed with which did so.
The world itself runs around 200 blocks in height, with a smoothed top and a smoothed bottom which enable shallow building on the extreme upper and lower surfaces, along with deeper building in the ravines, canyons, rifts, caves, and pits featuring heavily in this map. I’m not entirely certain what I’ll be adding to this generator, but I’m sure it’ll be “interesting”, to say the least.
