What are you working on? (Game Making Thread)

I'm about to release Medina Stories License Board v2.0.0. I'm just finishing the learned skills window. I spent a great deal of time eliminating unnecessary code. Graphically, it's light years away from v1.1.2.

Trying to decide whether to practice screaming, workout, go back to school, work on game 1, work on game 2, do my hair, tan, or practice swimming.

Work on gamns was in there so this post is legit (plus I was trying to emphasize my dilemma of burning the candle at both ends... something that I can NEVER avoid doing).

I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Everything seems to be so crappy in my life lately. :/
I went to the super market and spent $100 on comfort food. I'll skip classes today and tomorrow and see if that makes me feel better. Honestly, I think if I were to go to class, I'd give everybody the finger.

EDIT: Wrong forum. Sorry guys.

So today I evented a HUD for my solo project. It was so easy and simple, but I'm very proud of myself for doing so. Usually I'd have to ask for help, but I did it alone this time. :D

Now I wait for Star to get off Left4Dead and watch what I made. ;_;

I'm about to start mapping for my game. Proper, tileset based mapping (but in a graphics program so not tiled). I am replacing the MS Paint graphics with proper pixel art. I'm struggling to find a way around that. Anyway, by pixelling it I can make it fluid so if the screen's too small the houses will just magically shift closer together (which is cool really).

After will be like this but obv representing the image above:

I'm so proud of you Strawberry, you're learning the program! :cute: (And no that isn't sarcastic... I remember you dragging yourself down saying you're not good at using it and stuff)

Messing around with a range system for a battle system I'm working on.. I was thinking about using the Pythagorean theorem for it not so sure anymore, seems like more work when I could just compare the coordinates to a sight variable or something of the sort..

EDIT: You know what I might just end up using the pythag it seems like the most accurate way to measure the distance form the enemy to the player..

I haven't touched my game in a couple of weeks (nervous breakdown, school, etc.) and I'm trying to decide what to do. I still need to draw a couple of character sprite sheets, and a bunch of battle sheets. I need to finish coding the menu and battle systems. And I need a writer, if anyone's interested. I need a story. A demo's definitely coming up before New Year's. Well... maybe on New Year's. And it will be awesome.

I'm particularly worried about the writing, though. Any good writers willing to work for free?

Testing out weapon switching with mouse wheel and numbers 1 + 2 on keyboard (Previous, Next respectively).

Planning new lower-resolution sprites for everything to give the look of a 16bit-era game but with 'awesome graphics'.

Well, I had it registered on an old computer, and I don't remember if I can re-gain it legally (I don't want to get it illegally considering all the support the money brings to these kinds of development teams).

Also working on a game concept for a sprite I have, and seeing if I can get someone to sprite for pay.
