What are you working on? (Game Making Thread)

Working on making/assembling the tilesets and chars I'll need for my current RPG Maker XP idea, though I'm thinking I might just start it now and make what I need as I go, I could spend years making what I think I'll need...

Watching Californication.

I just wished they'd relieve the sexual tension that Mia displays towards Hank already. It's actually quite sad to see the lengths this girl is going to try and accomplish her pipe dream of getting Hank to display something that shows that he cares about her.

oh ffs not this again, sorry I have like 400 different tabs open.

Been working on a sprite sheet and stuff, it's ridiculously time consuming for a noob and getting on my nerves.

Awesome Bro

You two should post what you have the in the WIP/Pixel thread, you'll more than likely get enough input to help you on your way...

What am I doing right now? I've just opened up a spritesheet myself actually, well, sort of, I'm working on a template to go with the new tiles I'm making... still need to get the movement frames working.

I'm deciding to just map. Map, map, map a whole bunch of things. Working out the entire world, and nothing else. I'm gonna work on the actual game, systems, balance, and events later, after I finish mapping. Which begs the question, should I use inquisitor tileset? Setting the passage and etc. settings on it feels like it's gonna be very annoying and, either way, I'm not that great with inquisitor's world map thing.

I think that's the best way to go, plus it would be faster to set up 1 huge tileset than 10-15 smaller ones. It would be good practice getting used to the world map tiles as well, food for thought. :)

I'ved worked on it before, and remember it was sorta awkward setting up a large world map. Additionally, the amount of secret places on the world map feels sorta limited, since either you make it obvious or,since the direction to go is way linear, it's kinda hard to give incentive to the player without making it too obvious there are secret places.
Then again, haven't touched it in like forever, so we'll see how good i am.

Hopefully, not working on anythign else but maps won't make me do that thing where the project collapses under its own ambition :F

God, trying to animate such a small template is proving to be a very tricky task indeed... although I've got the sideviews working, it's the front and back I can't get to look right...

world mapping: Aurendiche, Heing Feo Nae, Skala, and the Penith Archipelagoes are the 4 major world maps I'm going to do. Currently, Aurendiche is at 140 x 110 size, subhect to change of course.
It's going sorta slow, as I need to get used to the Inquistior world map again.
