What are you working on? (Game Making Thread)

Scatching my scalp with a screwdriver. Literally. This is nearly the only purpose that I have for this thing, and the only reason I have it on-desk at all times.

YAY got it again (-$60).

I am currently trying to remember how to use the software, and trying to fix a skip that I notice in one of the sprites (it's the new, smaller one I got.. I think it's just the art style of the sprite conflicting with the art style of the tilesets).

Going to be hard at work again doing lifting, RMXP, School, WoW, etc.

feels good man

I'm editing the windows in RMXP to match my new in game screen resolution. Very hard work, but it's so worth it. Bigger is better.

I'm working on an introductory quest for my game which will work like an optional tutorial. A lot of people have commented that they don't know what to do once they start playing.

Working on a website for a client, and and a browser game that I'm making for fun, I'm also working on a Real_Time_Battle_system but its on a temporary pause so I can finish up the website..

Attempted a face-based renderer, it was buggy but demonstrated the benefits, frame-rate increase is only 5 fps unless you're staring at a corner, when staring at a corner the frame-rate for me goes from 160 to 500 fps.
160fps steady across a vast-draw distance with both rendering engines shows that it's worthless, but corridors and tight spaces would have a big frame-rate increases and the game is set around those. I may go back to it later.

Writing a script. My last project was totally fucked because I never had a solid, written plan of how the story flows, just the bare bones of how it plays out. Having a definite plan beforehand should make eventing scenes and dialogue a whole lot easier, and whatever other custom stuff can be prepared beforehand.

Trying to mess with a Fruity Loop's preset to get it to sound like an Erhu for my farm simulator game (failing hard):

I'm obtaining RMXP for the first time in too long and awaiting a friend of mine to come online, so that I may nag him to death on helping me learn Ruby. I've never scripted anything before, and this must be remedied.

I suddenly realised I hadn't compressed any of my images, so I bulk converted them to 256 colour pngs (from 16bit) and reduced my images directory by 90% from around 70mb to 7mb. Yay efficiency ~

Sauk is that your video? If so, are you aware you have 70K+ views on it? Anyways, re-familiarizing myself with the RMXP database and basically everything else. I may very well make an RTP project or something; it'd be the easiest way to do things.
