[VX] Party Changer

So far so good.

one problem.  The script doesn't include the call script command to add actors to the reserve.

Also, there isn't an explanation of "on-map party switching".

Hmm, I seem to be getting the following error when I try to open up the menu.

Script 'Party Changer' line 1282: NoMethodError occured.

undefined method `selection' for #<Window_Command:0x151c148>

As for background information:
I am using Custom Commands (top of my custom scripts below materials, followed by the party changer script)
I am using your Large Party script.
The Party Changer script is the most recent version.

EDIT: It was an error due to an old version of the custom commands script. However, I now seem to be having the same problem as Deiviara and Shut48.

@Deiviara, Shut48, Kafei
Would it be possible to send me your Scripts.rvdata please? I can't see what's causing the error. Maybe it'll be easier to understand with your files.

    The link to the Script is not loading for me; it says website not found.
By the way, nice scripts....I am currently new to RPG Maker VX and scripting...so playing around to see how things work.

@Kafei
EDIT: Any idea what's wrong, or are you even encountering the problem yourself?
That's odd, the script you gave me seems to work correctly...

@whitefire7
Maybe the site was temporarily down when you tried. It should be working now.

That's very strange indeed. All I did was take the custom commands, party changer and large party scripts and slap them into a new project and try it out. When I attempted to open the party changer from the menu, I got the error, and those were the only three scripts I was using.

I tried to do exactly what you did, but nothing happened. Could you send me the whole project via PM or e-mail please? I really don't understand what's the problem.

Well, I'm about to save you a big headache (although we've probably already caused you one :P).

After messing around for a while, I figured out that the problem occurred because of the locked.png. I must've saved it improperly (and I assume the others did as well), and so when the game attempted to load it up for the party changer scene, it caused an error because it was improperly formatted. After going back, and fixing the locked.png, it seems to work properly. This would also explain why you didn't encounter the error yourself.

Sorry for all the trouble, and thanks for your help in trying to figure the problem out! You're doing a great job, and I greatly appreciate all your hard work and dedication.

EDIT: If you open the party changer menu, place actor [1] or [2] in your party and then select reset, an error comes up:

Script 'Window_Selectable' line 35: RGSSError occurred.

failed to create bitmap

Curiously, it didn't seem to happen with actor [3]. Also, more of a minor thing, but I think something might be up with the actor opacity in the selection screen. They start out solid, when you select them, they turn semi-transparent, but they never seem to go back to solid after that. I'm not really concerned with that personally, but I thought I'd mention it.

That's interesting. I'll be more specific about that in the first post. Thanks ^^

I'll take a look at it. Thanks for the report.

I noticed too. That's easy to fix.

I'll update the script tomorrow.
Take care!

Sounds good, I'll look forward to it.

EDIT: I know you're probably very busy, but could I ask for maybe an update on what's going on? =)

Hey Dargor, amazing script, friggen sick add-ons and features.
I'm tempted to use this one over the others i've seen, it's just this one conflicts with some of the other scripts i have (MOG's menu and status system).

If it's not too much trouble, I was hoping you could send me an older version of this script (if you still have it) with all the basic features excluding the ones that mess with my other scripts. Please, and thanks if you can.

Oh, well i think the ones conflicting are the menu addons, like party order, and party changer in the menu. I think the in battle changer is fine and doesn't mess up, but the ones added to the menu are the only ones i think. If you could take those out, i'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I can't seem to add more than 4 members, even with the large party script (the max members is set to 5). Any ideas?

Make sure the @max_members variable in the Large Party script is higher than 4.
I'll update the script in a coupe of minutes.

EDIT:
@J4iru5
If you don't want the menu modification, look for this line
Code:
def create_command_window
There's 2 of them, the one you're looking for is somewhere around line 1270. Simply delete or comment out the whole method.

EDIT2L
I have updated the script to version 2.3

Oh sweet! I love you dargor, thanks for the updated version 2.3 script. Not nothin conflicts, honestly, i'm using a whole lot of your scripts out there, so i'll be sure to credit you for everything! Thanks!
