Hello Amy. I really like that menu, the red and the yellow contrast in the nav bar and the background. It's all very well made and it really looks a lot like some old RPG simulators I used to play when I was a kid. I took the freedom to check out the website of the game, I enjoyed it very much. My congratulations.


Hello everybody, here are some screenshots from a game I'm actually working, they are still mockups, I need to arrange time to program it. I will add a fog and a image slideshow, but it will be basically just that:

That's a pretty epic thing to just find out; you should advertise that fact more!

I've made lots of things. I was the developer and administrator of Mirage Source, Playerworlds, Elysium and Essence before. Eclipse is just the newest project.

Besides, I didn't think anyone around here would know what it was. It's only a little game maker. I've mostly retired from active development. I got the engine to the point I needed to make Crystalshire and just left it there.
 
Your maps look great; I love the fade when you step behind a tree.
I'd have to say the portraits and title graphics clash a bit with the pixelly nature of the game, though. As realistic as sprites may be, keep in mind they're only 20-30 pixels tall, and converting that into a realistic vector portrait is going to look inconsistent.

people probably just didn't have much to say because it's a 2K(3) game and people are biased fucks.

It's no 2k3 game. I imported the Wild Arms chips and 2k3 sprites into RPG Maker VX because I just find that more interesting than having one more VX RTP game.

and you changed rmvx's resolution to the 2k3 resolution of 320x240? and also changed the way it smooths text to make the text look like rm2k3 even going so far as to use the old rm2k font?
 
Looking good bernd, looks like my kind of game to be honest compared to other stuff we get here. And yeah compared to XP/VX RTP those graphics are quite refreshing; it's weird how that happens. Maybe people will say the same about XP/VX being used when a new maker comes out @_@

Dr. Funk - looks much better with the staggered street lamps! The street looks more real now.
 
I thought i would show off some screenshots of my game, i been working on it a LONG time, and i have revamped and started over MANY times... And please no negative comments.. i get the feeling i won't hear the end of how i am "knocking off" a sertin project.. i sware i'm not, i just been working on it a long time, and never showed off or announced anything.

fortunately, this looks nice. graphically, you have a cool consistent style going on there—i really like the doublesize pixels. has a nice feel to it.

however your grammar is atrocious and will absolutely KILL your project. nobody will take the game seriously if you don't clean it up. learn how to use punctuation and capitalization.

@Mikepjr: No one is gonna rip your work apart just to do it, but this thread is for improvement, not just for showing off. If you're not looking for constructive criticism, you probably shouldn't be posting here.

@Des: That actually looks really nice, and the RTP stuff blends in very well with the custom stuff. Nice work! The message box is bugging me, though. I think the transparency looks a little weird on top of pixel art, and the font might be a bit too anti-aliased.
 
Constructive criticism is fine, but i was not looking to be bashed... and the F me comment was not right at all, are there not rules against that sort of thing?
