Thanks. :D This is from the beginning.

Migratory it looks like his torso is too high/too far to the right or his legs are short (I know it's the style but doesn't work well with the full length horse)

Juan: It doesn't look like the trees tile properly; rather than ending in a point, it looks to be cut off at the top.

The lights seem way too bright for day time (or even night time) but I understand that's a stylistic choice.

Perspective issue: The shadow of the middle section of the building doesn't project logically; it goes out in a straight line, and seems to disregard the walls, as if the other parts of the building were made of paper and laid flat out on the ground.

Well, the trees, that was actually stylistic choice, but I guess if it looks awkward I could change it. :)
The lighting won't be on during day time, just, during night time, but since this is, after all, a layered image, it's showing the lights layer.
Finally, I see what you mean about the building's shadow. I'll fix that right away.

you should also note that different shadows are going in different directions (i.e. the trees and the building)
decide on a light source and you'll be good.

the trees look fine, just looks like the top of the trees were cut off

Hi. This is a promo picture of a new game im working on all about angels and other supernatural beings.

This is a promo for the game not an actual game shot. However both characters are in the game which you get to play as. And comments will be noted and thanks!

The intro is really impressive, but I think you should give the player something interesting to do from the get-go. Just as an example, maybe our redcoat protagonist needs to explore the wilderness to get to... well, wherever he's going, and you let the player explore a fairly open foresty dungeon with some interesting New World scenery, environmental puzzles, some fairly easy battles, and some interesting mini-climax at the end. That way you get the player engrossed in the world, and when you start showing that fancy cutscene/credits immediately afterward, the player is more likely to care about (and remember) what they see.

You also let the player decide whether or not they're going to enjoy the gameplay; it acts as a neat proof of concept for your world.

Migratory, do you want selling this game? For me it looks like it's worth at least ten bucks per copy.
It looks like you traveled back in time, made Square-Enix make a game, get copy of it, traveled again to present time, store that copy on your hard drive, traveled back in time again and shot himself to prevent Square to make that game and traveled forward to present time once again*. Or in shorter version: It looks very fucking professional.

*Does he would have copy of that game after his second time-travel to present times? Fucking physics.

Amazing. I don't think I've ever seen such amazing mapping in an RM game; it must help that you can have unlimited tiles with RMXP but don't have the higher resolution to worry about. I see a lot of custom ridges and grasses and such; it adds so much that I think the self-proclaimed mapping experts here try to get out of the square tiles available. The trees are patterned beautifully and the ground has so much detail without having so much contrast as to distract the player from the action.

The credits were nice, but they felt like an ending sequence instead of an opening. I guess you were going for a sort of FF6 opening style there, but I wasn't really feeling it. The poetry especially confused me, and the pictures of New York were odd...I didn't recognize any of the skyline (not that I'm much for recognizing New York, it might just be me) and I found it curious the Statue of Liberty from around 1890 (is that right?) didn't disappear until the very last set of larger buildings faded out.

So...how's this being released again? As far as I remember, RMXP games can only be distributed for Windows. It seems to me the best distribution would be for portables, especially iOS and Android since publishing is easier there, but I don't know of any way to publish to those platforms with RGSS. It isn't terribly difficult to rewrite the RGSS interface, but I don't even know if plain Ruby is allowed on those platforms. Any thoughts? Or are you OK with Windows-only release?

Nah. This isn't a commercial game by any means. I am just a hobbyist that spends ... well, an unhealthy amount of hours working on this. I'll be happy if I can pay off the production costs with donations because someone that promised me to pay for some of the graphics ended up spending money on strippers (i strongly suspect). I'm okay with it being for Windows only.

There's a reason for the Blake reference and etc.

I'm not using RMXP, either. This is RMVX. All of the maps are done by hand in Photoshop. I think the lack of puzzles, dungeons early on is alright since you control the main character pretty fast and the first battle is introduced pretty quickly. There's a bit of talking in the beginning, and two large time gaps from the early 15th Century, to 1622 to 1755 but I tried my best to keep it as short as possible.

@TyronThor95
The one on the left reminds me of Castiel from supernatural. My favourite character :thumb:

@MigratoryEagle
Those graphics look really nice, very impressive. :biggrin:

Hey, so I finished working on the license board. Now it has borders. It was the final thing I need to add. It was tough, adding borders, but it's done and it works perfectly.

Note: the borders are black rectangles because I haven't made any sprites yet.
