A couple screens from an upcoming short game that focuses on narrative and puzzle elements:

What does the player do with the four pedestals?
They all show the first level in the game, a sort of puzzle dungeon that helps familiarize the player with game mechanics.
 
Thanks. I'll have some fresher shots later tonight or tomorrow. I wanted see how people felt about the lighting choices. I like how I got a lot of different values on the walls.

Only thing I can say is the character doesn't stand out much, and blends in with the surroundings. I don't know how it is while playing though, perhaps it's not at all a problem.

And yes, I do realize that there are a few problems with the roof. I had to jerry rig that HECK out of this thing to make it work, the tileset isn't the best :P
 
That map looks nice I dont see anything wrong with roof, the only things I would change is the opaque on the clouds their a bit to dark also it seems like theres to many clouds just me tho, also I would make the map a bit bigger the water seems a bit to close to the house, it looks fine but it would probably look better if there was just a bit more space separating it.. but it looks really good nice map :]]
 
That screen was a mockup but since I have turned it into the real deal, just sitting on my desktop though. I need to work on the demo area and battles. Everything's going to be hover-able with a description of what's going on in that point, so the logged-out screen serves both as a non-live demo game, introduction to the world and storyline, and a tutorial on the interface and such.
 
Here are some more. These are outside in a ruined ancient temple ground known as Drakengora.

Frank speaks to Richard of the West - a secondary protagonist who leads a band of revolutionaries known as the Defiant.

The ancient site has lost a lot of it's architecture.

The barely standing temple is the headquarters of the Defiant.

The flora of Drakengora is slowly being receded by time.
I'll try to keep a steady update of screens. I am trying to stay away from a concept/project thread at the moment.

@Edit: Fixed the non-displaying screens. XD
 
It's a little monotone. Everything is sort of murkish green, including the characters, which makes them blend into the scene. You should liven your characters.

This map is evidently not finished.
