Curse you and all the other amazing graphic artists out there for making me jealous.

Seriously great stuff, dude. I've said it before but I'll say it again, this is commercial quality stuff. I usually hate isometric but I love the clean look of your maps.

@Sadrin:

uh...thats the EXACT same story as Lunar: Dragon Song. He goes on a delivery and his package gets mugged by Sasquatches, seriously? You could've at least changed it into like werewolves or something, or is this supposed to be like a remake? Cuz even the main character's name is still the same :\ a remake would be nice though, there was to many flaws in Dragon Song, would be nice to see it cleaned up.

neways, most of the graphics on that map are from the same game, but I see some from other games as well, feels like the trees are clashing a bit in style here.

I don't think the trees are too bright, but I think the colours are too powerful. On the rest of the map, the colours are all quite dull, subtle and a grey and the trees stick out like a sore thumb over it.

I'm really liking this style you've got going on here. I haven't seen anything like this on any rpg maker. How far along are you? Is this playable at all?

Well... Here's a map I've been working on for about two weeks now. >_< This is the fist town that Jian(main character) makes a delivery to. On his way there he gets mugged by some sasquatches and they steal his package. Crazy huh?

As you can see very little detail has been put into this yet... It's taken me awhile to get the water done. It's 16 frames of animation! >_< Isometric just takes SO much longer. :scruff:

Much better without the bacteria-stones! :D

Sadrin, the first thing that came into my mind was WOW! That looks veeery nice. It can be not very detailed, but the style is very good so the detail will come, I guess ;)

Thanks guys! Didn't know people would like it so? Neat! I just want to point out again that these are custom and not original. The buildings you see are made with textures(ripped and original) edited to fit the idea of the original DS map.

I'm going for a full remake so I'm going to try and stick with the outline that Dragon Song had going. I might keep the sasquatches just being that Alex,Luna, and Ramus were attacked by them In Lunar I. But we'll see. And yes, the flaws are the reason for the remake. :(

About the trees... Thanks for the input! I see what you guys are saying. I'll post and update in a few days.

ah, I see, didn't know. hm... it's a good game to try it, I'd like to see that annoying dash system out of the way, lol, well, at least it had a decent story (Imo anyways, but I liked the story in the GBA one better)

I didn't notice that the maps were like the originals, been too long, but looks good.

New thread, new screens. These screenshots are from a new game of mine, which is based on a book. I'm still working on a few of these areas, and I haven't started making any of the storyline yet, but it's a start. I want some comments.

It might be hard, but also, I wonder if anyone can guess the book... It's not that well known...

It's Sabriel! The rabbit was a dead give away. It's got to be pretty well know since you're not the first to recreate it in rmxp. The was another project like maybe a year ago with a demo. The download might still be intact.
I think it's interesting that you both chose the swamp tileset for death (assuming that's what you're using it for)
I imagined it as just running water with shadowy dead underneath, no trees, But as a game, I guess you'd have to make it look interesting.

Correct, well done for guessing. I didn't know someone had started to make it before, but I searched for it, and when I found it, none of the screens work, and the demo's dead. You're right, I am using the swamp for death, because I think it's the only tileset that's freaky enough for it. Although the tileset itself is edited a lot by me. And yeah, I tried just water, and it's really dull. It has no sense of atmosphere. I just added trees to break it up.

New screen. Well sort of. I'm just testing the message system and the facesets I'm making.

Still the same dead rabbit I'm afraid.

Should he make potholes and cracks on the road to fill it? No... The road is empty as it should be. What would be better though is if he got a better road tileset.

Fox5, you're still working on Last Man's Stand right?

Please comment on the treasure box, upper side of the screen. Do you guys like the style or not? If yes, I'm gonna edit Moghunters menu's with this style. Script is made by Moghunter.

Newest one, dont mind the location sprite. Its a Moghunter standard, dont want to use that. Also dont mind the treasure above the ammount, leaved in case I needed it.

Hmm, that brown, I like it:P
