Second_Crimson, I like the concept your trying to go with, but the tree looks sorta bunched up and messy. Also, why can't it just be New Game, Continue, and Quit? What's with this new style of making things fancy? Like I said though, I love the idea of the title screen. I can sorta picture it in my head and it can look very good if done correctly.

Mirku, the room still looks a little too dark and why is there no edge to the floor? Its just the floor and sudden drops.

I lowered the fog opacity some more:

But now it looks like day to me when it's supposed to be a dark dungeon.

Very good. I'd suggest making it redder to give the scene a more dangerous feel. That was what WAS good about the first screens. But for a game, it was too dark.

The road on the lower-right part of the map is too straight, it looks like if is was above the cliff.
Apart from that, the map looks great- specially that panorama.

Try to limited the stuffs on your map. It's more like a random map than a fonctional map. And BTW the waterfall is not correct the way you make it. The overall is charming but it's more like a Where is Waldo's page than a video game map.
 
Hey, i saw that map before! and i dont completely agree with the last two responses,
It is a fully functional map, you'll see if you look good, it isn't overmapped and it isn't undermapped, just the right amount of brushes etc.
and nahchito, how do you mean to straight???
 
yeah, the only part that i dont like is the part where the water autotile goes into a waterfall, it's started 1 block to soon! should be one block down!
 
Thanks for your reply guys, that part where the water tile goes into the water, it was not possible to move the water towards the pool/cliff because you cannot put two layers together. I recognize the problem, but it could not otherwise. I agree that the road part is too straight, but I don't agree that the map is overmapped.
 
I haven't really looked at it thoroughly yet, but what from I can see, there are 2 errors.
1. Where does the water come from? There's no way that it can pop out from underground on a mountain. (I had the same problem with my map).

2. Why is there a buck/deer there? They are rarely around people and even if you see one, they always run away. I know, since I live in a foresty area where I practically see a deer every week.

Edit: Same with the bear in the bottom right corner. They wouldn't be around people, especially in that much of a noisy area. The only animals you would usually see around people are probably squirrels or rabbits (At least, the ones I remember from the RTP).

Also, the waterfall has been done wrong, so might wanna correct that. And if its winter and mostly every thing is snowed on, how are there green bushes randomly around?

Sorry for being nit picky, but I just wanted to point out the errors. I edited it after I actually looked at it.

If any games in the world got maps like this I will know it. So please, reconsider it's not quite good about the overmapped thing.

Wow, I'm very impressed by all these great screens of games I definatley wanna try out^^

@Red: Thats actually pretty well done. The only real problem [[at least it bothers me]] is the main entrance. Either the roof doesn't extend towards it properly or you need to lower the roof in general. Make it more of another level kinda thing. I don't know it just looks really odd and off to me.
