I like the overall layout, but there are a few mapping errors. For one, it seems weird that some of the borders of the map are empty, so the player can touch the edge of the map. I'd stay away from that, so maybe add cliffs or fences there. There's a spot in the top left-middle, kinda whereall the yellow flowers are, that has an error in cliff heights, where it seems to go from one height to another without any transition. That happens a couple times actually, like in the pit with the water at the top left. It seems to give an optical illusion. Also, on the right side, you have the waterfall that seemingly appears almost out of nowhere. A little puddle of water like that couldn't constantly supply a waterfall Give it a source like a river or something. Overall though, it's a good map and you certainly kno how to use Inq's tilesets.

I like the atmosphere in that map, but it's a bit to dark.
It's meant to be, but I guess it could be a bit lighter. Just so the player can see.

BrunoTR: I agree with The_Shadow, it is a tad difficult to see. I like the overall feel and mood for it though. The green on the trees and on that bit on the top left of the map don't seem to fit in, though. They seem a little saturated when compared to the rest of the tileset.
Hmmm... You think so? The grassy bit in the top left you're right about, but I think the trees are fine.

O__O bruno, that's one dark scene dude! i can't see a thing on the bottom right portion of the screen!
looks like there is some decent mapping under the smog, tho.
PS was right, there's a pit there.

BrunoTR- The picture looks great on full screen but it looks so dark otherwise. I wouldn't change it if the game is going to be played in full screen.
That's a good point actually. The white background of these forums may make it seem darker than it really is. But in answer to your question, full screen is optional. So I think it's best if I make it lighter.

Anyway, here's a screen from my Winter WonderMAP001 project; What winter themed snowland would be complete with a sliding puzzle? Pull down the 4 levers to complete the puzzle!

I love sliding puzzles! That looks good. I'm looking forward to seeing all the winter contest projects.

Time for a screenshot from my project, Last Man's Stand. I haven't posted screenshots from it here for a long, long time, so here's a new one:

For those who don't know what LMS is, it's a survival shooting game set in an abandoned city. You can use a variety of different guns and melee weapons, while exploring a vast city. You can choose to follow the storyline (in the form of missions) or do your own thing, and unlock the secrets and puzzles of the city.

Looks pretty good, JuniorMaker. I particularly like the fruit/veg stands surrounding the ornament tree. The blend of colours over the grey rock seems to work well to me and I think its the highlight of the map. Some of the map is kind of peculiar though. A lot of stone path just seems to be placed down kind of randomly and, at least in one case, there is a tree growing out of the stone road/path.

Some of the cliff work appears to go a bit haywire, but it depends on the style you map with. I assume you've not mapped it with the assumption that it's all flat land and you've made the cliffs appear to slant. I like how you disguised some of the messier bits behind trees though. Quick fix. :) I should point out that for some of the steps up the cliffs you have made, they should be double the size of the cliff edge as they are both coming outwards from the cliff and going directly downwards. For particularly high cliffs, instead of doubling the size just make them longer than the cliff face and the illusion should work. However, when you have step tiles the exact same height as the wall they're supposed to be placed against, it makes them look strange and illogical.

Mesh90: Do not think your map very good and I will explain the reasons. First the tone of the screen, I think, at any time of day or night this tone bem.Second, the detailing of the map is not good, first enable the transmission of the shadows of the trees then, concerts there putting the plant's shadow flying over it by creating a little overlap, the way they did just the plant is cutting the shade of the tree, which can not happen, enjoy to vary more details on the map, especially the floor, use of the autotiles most creative way. Finally, do not understand that seat on top of the mountain, did not make sense, it would be good to put it on the floor below, would be more logical.

Inquisitor, thank you for critique, shame that I could not understand much, my English is not very good and even with the aid of translators in various parts of the text could not understand what I wanted to explain.

Brief bring some more of my tutorials and maps.

See Ya!

Nice map Malachi, but I see an error. On the left, in the middle, the tree trunk above the smoke is cut off. Also the soldier sleeping is a little too close to the fire. He might burn up.

hmmm, a bit. LMS certainly isn't based on it, and doesn't use any ideas from it, but maybe it is a bit.
As i said in the temporary screenshot thread, your map is good.

Looks fun. Is that evented or scripted? The tree with no needles is too close to the tree with needles, I believe.
Thanks. And no, outside of the scrolling panorama, it's all evented.

The thing with the trees is that because they're travelling in an upper-left manner all at different points, they look closer together than they really are.

Baisically, when the obstacles reach the top or left of the screen, they move right back down to either the bottom of the left side or the left of the bottom side, via random variables.

Now that looks like a fun mini-game Bruno. Nice work!

Tindy, for some reason, your map just glows to me. When I looked at it, it sorta popped in my face. Its probably because of the red houses in a white background, and I love it. Too bad you can't release it.

Avadan, I actually quite like that, except for the middle area. It seems empty.
