map is by sithlord, I'm just testing out the template, it's basically grandeth adv edited with a more animeish style, smaller hands/head bigger eyes

I think it fits pretty well so far.

Um less of those lights, especially at the top would be good. It's too excessive. And how many clocks you need? You got four in there. While yeah you want to "fill" a map, it has to make sence too ya know. However I really do like the intial set up just don't be afraid of having a blank wall here and there. I mean the wallpaper is pretty patterned anyways so it should be fine. Also there's an error on the stairs, midway through.

Hi guys, I'm new around here, but I've seen some of your screens.

Here're some screens of my first game, I did the puzzles without any help XD

Just a cutscene at the start of the game.

http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq25 ... nshot3.png[/img]
First puzzle of first dungeon. You have to step on the right letter in each row *coughcough*indianajonesandtheraidersofthelostark*coughcough* XD

http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq25 ... nshot2.png[/img]
You step on the switch and have to run to the other side of the room where the door is before it closes.

http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq25 ... nshot4.png[/img]
A step puzzle! You have to step on all the tiles on one level once only and then a staircase appears which takes you to the next level. Step on a tile twice and it breaks beneath your feet and you have to start again.

Skie: those portraits are bad-ass, but you probably knew that anyway :p
Diegoale: I nearly spit my coffee out when I saw that screenshot. 'Nuff said.
Hate to tell you this, mate, but two of those puzzles have actually been done in an RMXP game already, Master of the Wind. That is the bat one, and the cracking tile one.

First Tests for Dreams, with Original Graphics for the  grass, skybox and tweaked tree shaders.
You cant see it since its a picture, but trees and grass move with the wind, and there's petals flying along where there's many flowers.
I hate lighting levels, i need to learn, I suck at it :3

soon = original tree models and textures, custom terrain textures (these are mostly custom, but not final)

To clarify - this isn't rmxp, it's a game engine. what you see here is 3d Realtime, aka you're able to walk through the field in full 3d  :p

That's not a screenshot, that's a bunch of anime CGs with filtered text and a standard anime theme song.

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that you haven't posted nearly enough in the way of actual gameplay footage. Almost everything I've seen from you is basically just an anime CG with text added, and there's pretty much nothing to critique as far as those are concerned. I appreciate that you're trying to drum up support for your game, but I don't think that these screenshots reflect your effort enough to qualify as windows into your game -- all I know from these screenshots is that Xuse's graphics department abuses airbrushes and filters, and it won't do you any good if I say that. There's pretty much nothing of yours here, and so you're doing a poor job of demonstrating your game making ability to us. It's not that the graphics are unoriginal, it's that almost all of it has already been put together by someone else, and so your individual effort has been pushed into the background, leaving us without a very solid idea of how your game will be constructed.

What I want to see from you is more maps and that sort of thing. Actual screenshots that people will experience during regular gameplay. The point of posting screenshots here is to briefly represent the different facets of your game, and you simply can't do that if all you're showing us is ripped art and song lyrics and your party dialogue system.

Dr. Winston is right on this one.

anyways, I fixed the number of doors and lights up top, the map is credited to Sithlord, but I still want to see if I can get some feed back on how the sprite fits in with rtp styled tilesets

also, I'm working on a card battle system mini game for both my game and just for fun

the deck is made up of 10 cards, right now the cards in the deck is already preset (and there is 2 copies of Train and Adell) but the deck editor shouldn't be hard to make.

The drawing system uses a 2000+ line evented system of variable tagging to check what cards and drawn, which cards are in the deck, and which card is in the hand and in which slot of the hand.

I'm currently working on card activation of the hand, it's annoying to fic the bugs becuase the event is so overwhelmingly long...

The sprites are a little saturated for the map, especially in the clothes. If you can soften the colours and avoid using pure black outlines, I guarantee it'll look a lot better.

Point taken to self then.

:x Thanks for the advice, guess I'll just leave those for the player to see it themselves by the release then..

Monkeydlu if you want more crits on your sprites you should shove them in the RA section. Here is more for the screenshot as a whole. But yeah too much saturation and it looks one shade of blue. And Jesus man FOUR clocks? Get rid of at least two. Less is more?

@Monkey: I agree with Raven and the clocks. Way to many.

Put one in the middle of the map of the upper floor.

I know you notice the guy in the wall correct? That bothers me a bit.

there are still to many lamps as well.

Ditch some of the moose heads as well.

Well its not a really bad screen its just to symmetrical for my taste.

If notice the only thing thats changed is the shelf in the middle. And the guy on in the wall on the right side.:/ all the rest of the room looks like it was just copied and flipped. I mean its okay if thats what you're going for BUT! I think some different decorations would help. :) I don't think I've ever seen anyone who decorates their house completely symmetrical. Don't quote me on that.

@Kei: those maps look a little bare for me. Especially the one with the robots.

I think some varying cliffs would help you out just a tad bit.

the city scene just needs more something. I'm not to sure what it is though. :p

@Die: Well I don't know what to say to that. I see a field. It looks 3d, it looks nice but how's this going to work with RMXP? Or is it not rmxp anymore?

@BlackShadow:  That map looks really good.  I did notice that the shadow on one of the trees is cut off (it's the tree right above the fallen log.)  I'm curious, where did you get that autotile for the water?  It's looks a lot better than even the rounded water autotile that most people use.  Did you make it yourself?

I got the water autotile from a friend, but he didn't make it, and he didn't said who made it. I've been trying to find out who made it, but I haven't found it anywhere on the net, so I don't know who made it.
