BrunoTR: It looks like an interesting puzzle, but the room looks waaaay too cluttered. Seriously, it's too busy. Other than that though, it's a good puzzle. You seem to be good at those.

Here's a little forest shot I just took from my game. It's by a lake (obviously) and just north of a town. I don't know if it's too green or not, but I think it looks pretty good. (by the way, it has falling leaves for added effect)

It uses Inq's tileset, of course.

I don't really understand what you mean... The stuff has to be there for the puzzle, it's meant to be cluttered.

@Dadevster: Aaaggghhh don't don't don't use that tree leaves fog. It just doesn't make any sense!

I mean, you can SEE all the tops of the trees, and it's not a jungle, so how could light be filtering through a canopy? And why would the shadows of the leaves be so ENORMOUS?

Only way a canopy fog would make any sense is if the pattern were WAY smaller, and you were in such a thick and tall forest/jungle, you couldn't see the tops of the trees.

Venetia: Okay, okay, that's why I asked for advice. Yeah, maybe it is a little much.

BrunoTR: It just looks like too many barrels to me. Just a little too cluttered. Still a great puzzle, though.

What, standing barrels? The barrels on their side are the one that you roll and make up the puzzle.

But I did consider the standing barrels would be confusing, I should get rid of them, I suppose.

@ Ven
I think it looks pretty good. It's a GAME. It doesn't have to look real and most people don't even pay attention to such details.
You're just obsessed with your anti-RTP thing. xD

Why is there fog in a basement? Is it.. smoke? Is it.. some sort of hazardous chemical? Is it.. illogically placed for no reason other than to be trendy and hide that your sideways fallen barrels are shaded completely wrong?

The fog's dust.

Also, how are the barrels wrong? It's consistent with the light source, isn't it?

Here's a little something from my game. Ignore the map, it was quickly made so I could start working on the events.
Basically, you assign the Slingshot to the action button (which would be A on the keyboard in this case), face the direction you want to shoot, and press it. This will fire a seed.

The point is to shoot the lizard, which keeps using wind spells to put out the torch, light the torch, quickly run down the path and across and then take care of the lizard. Nothing fancy, and it's not final. Any suggestions on how to improve this and make it any more fun in your pov?

Thanks.

@FireRaven:  It's hard to judge how fun something is from a screenshot, so we can't critique you much there.  The way you describe it sounds fun, but it all depends how it plays out.  I know you said to ignore your map, but that's kinda the point of screenshots.  If you made the left side of the chasm look more like the right instead of it just being a straight line, it'd look way better.  Same thing goes for the upper wall, give it some variety and make it curvy and natural looking.  Also, the neon green slingshot icon is a little much, it sticks out like a sore thumb.  You might want to tone that down.

Thanks for pointing that out. Yeah, the screenshot doesn't really say much about the event, and when I took away those cluff-bumps or whatever you wanna call it, to make it a straight line, it looked way much better indeed. Thanks for the tip.
