But I'm pretty sure the RTP uses noise effects too? And I don't mean necessarily the Photoshop noise plug-in, but just something to make it look rock..ish. ^^;

but the lolipop trees are the first things i made  :cry:
anyway i'm aiming more at both realistic and cartoon like graphics

Okay, you meant some randomly placed pixels to add texture then.

Be careful about those wardrobes and cabinets. The perspective seems to differ between them.

For example, the wardrobe is a couple of pixels downwards, giving the impression that it's further forwards than the tall cabinet to the right. However, the top side gives the impression that it's alot thinner. At the same time, the tall cabinet is a couple of pixels higher, making it seem as though it's closer to the wall than the worktop to the immediate left of it, yet it's top is thicker.

What i'm suggesting is to try and make sure they all line up correctly, and perhaps give them all the same size top.

You'll recognize Jonathan Morris, from Portrait of Ruin, that's because our current character sprite is not finished yet. It's just here as a "template".

Well the credits goes to OpenedMind, our team name. More than just me. Without my collegue, the idea of a castlevania, would have never reach my mind xD

It's A wip.
Needs moar detail, just as Muskin said. Think trees, rivers, grass that sort of thing.

@Me(tm):  If the graphics clash it's not by much, and game looks pretty sweet.  A bit too colorful but still good.
