Are those.. bubblegum mountains? =3

They actually look pretty cool, though the built of the mountain is hard to grasp at first glance..
I really like the colors though..
They match quite well with the lava, giving it some sort of dusted look.

@Simacir:  Custom tileset looks badass, but you need to put in more shadows and small details.

@fox5:  Pretty basic woods, but nothing wrong with it.

@Kicks:  Bathroom looks pretty good, except it's too large and there should be maybe 2 more sinks.

@WeaponOD:  Pretty basic map, but looks good.  There should maybe be more windows on those houses though.  :/

@SakuraPhoenix:  Decent "lava-fortress", although how that circular rock on the right is exactly the same to the one on the left despite being on lava and cliff (the left one is only on the lava) confuses me.  Are they floating in mid-air?

On my project void, I've got a great VX mapper who is helping me improve on my mapping.

New and improved house pictures:

*Ignore the chest at top-right of house.  It's for testing.

*Ignore the room on the left in the above pic.

*I'm going with a new "style" of mapping, where you can't see the other rooms if the door is closed.  I also made a little 'door' animation flash where there are openable doors, but it isn't seen in these pictures.

I've still got ways to go with my mapping, but I'm getting there I think.

I REALLY like this style actually... You've made a house that looks like it could actually be lived in by people, which is hard to do with the limited details VX allows.

I may just have to "borrow" this style If I ever try to do something in VX again. Hehe.

Heh, thanks.  I've still got to improve though.  Like for example the left-most room upstairs doesn't look very realistic, and I forgot to include windows in most of the pictures.

I took a look at the Evil Castle tileset and thought that the pink glowy things at the bottom of the cliffs looked like they glow because of some internal power. As a result, I thought, why not make a type of material that due to absorbstion of geo-thermal energy, has anti-gravitational properties? The volcanic energy is what powers the material to float. Hence the floating castle ^^

So yes it's floating, I even made a specific shadow to give it that illusion. However, since it's not as obvious (and I caught some mapping errors in the first one too), I did another map with the shadows shifted more to the right. Does it make a difference?

EDIT @MukanshinBlack; I forgot to comment on your maps, sorry... I think the improvements are MUCH better. And your idea of not seeing into rooms unless the doors are open, is a pretty interesting idea. I like it much ^^

Don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this but the pink, glowy things can be rock platforms on lava, could it not?  Maybe if those floating rocks move slightly up and down you could make others think they were uhh floating.

Thanks...  I'm trying to break off the typical styles associated with RMVX games in my game.  Later on I'll show some pictures of the high school, after it gets more of that 'void' style.

EDIT:
@Dung Beetle:  What's the point of that screenshot?  It only consists of... Glowy things.  :/
