Incognitus- Everything seems to fit pretty well, I'm just not a fan of the colour choices.

So, in what way do you think the colour choices should be developed? Closer to the NES pallete, or do you think it's acceptable to "cheat" with the great array of colours available and just don't like the ones I've chosen? :D

Incognitus, I think that the village house look a bit too blurry. It throws me off a bit. Is there anyway you can fix that?

Do you mean the green, purple and yellow-roofed ones? Yeah - for some reason it looks really blurry from a distance, but when one is walking around at the standard scale there doesn't seem to be any difference between it, and anything else. :|

@BlackShadow.

I added an answer to my last post, but the browser crashed around me, but I think you should edit where the weeds meet the cliffs on the far right so the bottom goes over the top of the grass and you don't have that squared-off bits which spoils the effect.

Incognitus-I simply dislike your colour choices, go ahead and use any colours available.

Does anybody have comments for the screen in my post above?

@Money: I think it looks pretty good. But one of the rocks there kind of remind me of a Hersey's Kiss. Is it supposed to be rounded like that?

Here's a screen from the battle system I've been making. I have a lot of work to do on it, but its evented and turn-based.
Well, everything is evented except the HUD at the top.
In this screen, the display appears when you want to choose one of Aria's skills, and you use the blue arrow to select one of the icons on the bar. More icons appear on the bar as you level up. Descriptions of the skill will pop-up after you select the icon. You can select the image of Aria on the bar to check her status. The black bar on the button is the skill bar for Daniel, and works the same.

So far it's taken me a week to make this system, and it's far from finished ._.

Press the correct keys on the keyboard for Aria to successfully throw her bottle of poison at the enemy!

Incognitus: I think it looks good... ftw nes style!
but maybe I whould lower the brightness or color tone of the grass... and lower the contrast
                   of the towns rock path

Powerdude247: Looking good, the hero reminds me of Claude C. Kenni from Star Ocean 2 :P

Money : Not much to say... seems like your style doesnt have much shadows on it... but I think you should add
              some
              ... shadows that is

Yeyinde: The style is simple and direct, luv the old school look you are implementing... ah the memories*

Black Shadow:the mapping is great... though there are some areas where the grass seems a little to square

Zammysoul: The battle system looks nice... luv the detail of the item in the hands of Aria

Well the continuation of Sapientia City. As I said in previous posts this city is more in synch with nature then the urban city of Klendathu. It's located to the south east of the continent in the world.

This is the total view of the city zoomed out to 1/4 the size.

The map itself is 90% finished. The only things left to do is work on a nice transition from rock to water at the base of the islands but that is already being worked on. And I'm working on more different heights in the terrain.

Lemme know what you guys think of the stuff that is done.

That map is truly inspiring Lisker, one of the best I've seen with that tileset. The only flaw I can think of is the one problem you're currently attending to. Excellent work!

I like the clean layout. Something I find to be a little odd is the shelf in the left-upper corner of the first one, as its placement seems to be rather awkward, despite being possibly feasible when you look at it from a certain perspective. Not sure whether you did that on purpose for the style/screenshot or not.

Hey guys! Man, it's been a while since I've posted in here...

I'm just posting a little tileset I started up yesterday. I'm trying out an isometric sort of perspective, as well as a "black lines around everything" art style. I'm by no means a pixel artist, so naturally, it isn't perfect, and the details and whatnot aren't super spot on, but I'm actually pretty happy with how it's coming along. I'm just making it to pass time right now, and I'm having a lot of fun doing it. :P

Anyway, this screen is more or less a school classroom in some sort of forest/jungle type area. It isn't supposed to be a very technologically advanced civilization, hence the use of wood/bamboo/whatever for just about everything there. I also thought that riddling the room with vines and whatnot would be an interesting touch! I tried to give everything a natural look and color to it, so I'd like to see what everyone has to say about the color choices. Are they too saturated?

Your lighting effects look absofuckinglutely terrible.

In the first screen, I love how the guard is just impaled by the bars.

Also are Rick and the Kobold about to have hot steam interracial sex? It sure seems like it!  :thumb:
