@ Omnisia: Using a Map Title Screen seems to be becoming more and more popular ever since Quintessence came out. I have to say, I prefer them to stasis pictures. And yes, Show picture does rock! =D

I think the text used to write "Spinel's Core" could be a bit more interesting though. Try to find a more interesting font, and use more than one color in it... Like the one in your sig! Nice Gem-Cursor by the way!

Thanks for the compliment. =) I suppose the descriptions are having their intended effect then. Since Enex2 is rather weak on storyline, the main "feature" of the game is simple exploration and discovering new lands.

One of the dungeon challenges that you will get roped into. The crystals will glow red, causing a steam of fire to flow across the field. You have to see which crystals glow red to know where the fire will be next and then get out the way before it roasts you!

where did you find that Battle report script?

It came to me as an add on to the RTAB. Try searching the forums for it, if you give up on it I'll send it to you if you want. :D

@Enrichment: Is it me, or does that screen remind me of Bomberman in a way?

@Shuriken: Thank you!

@Ratty: Now that I think about it, it is A LOT like bomberman, though I've never though of that way before. Pretty much it is, "Get out the way because here comes an explosion that moves in a straight line!" Oh and by the way. My name is Erichermit (Eric-Hermit), not Enrichment. I sure do get that a lot though XD

@lordnick: I suppose it does look a little odd. The whole thing is a trap and is purposefully created though, so it does kind of make sense for it to look all normal and stuff. However, Im sure a little more randomness couldn't hurt. Thanks!

Yeah, I must say I definitely like the color scheme, Divine_engage. I can't really put my finger on what it reminds me of, but the pallete just looks really nice.

Though I think the ground tile could possibly use a little more texturing. Right now it seems a little too smooth, almost like the whole thing is sitting on a piece of paper.

Hmm, what i was trying to go for was to make the screen look like it's on paper, like painted on but i'll probabbly end up going with painting it myself in water color and then transferring it to a tileset (Although i've never had much luck doing that.) Thanks for the views on the map Arcanum, i'll see what i can achieve...

Part of the Fimbeln Glacis area mentioned earlier, here is a reflex based minigame where you must cross a gaping chasm. Your mage has managed to create a delicate ice bridge. Of course, constructing the ice bridge is very difficult, and cannot be made perfectly. As such the blocks tend to be a.. scattered. If you step on the ice bridge, the slipperyness will cause you to constantly be moving forward, so don't slip off! Theo can blow gusts of win at you to make you do a Jump up, right, left, or down 2 spaces. The reason the bridge appears to be missing the south block to get your character over there, is that as you step on a block it melts very shortly after, causing you unable to jump backwards and forwards over and over again to think for a bit.

@Money: Why, then you'll love Enex2 ;)

Deeper in the Fimbeln region lies a frozen cave with magma running through it. How does the ice remain unmelted? Some say it may have something to do with the strange rumors of a particularly vicious haunt dwelling in the cave. Some claim it some strange phantasm of fire, while others claim it has an ice like affinity. Other say there are, in fact, TWO wretched spirits living in the cave.

Also, a side note to avoid any confusion. I'm sure those of you have played Master of Wind have noticed a similar kind of cave: An Ice cave with lava in it. I'd like to go ahead and defend myself here. First of all, I had been planning a dungeon like this long before I played MotW. When I saw that dungeon while playing it, I was very worried about it and considered not making this dungeon a fire/ice dungeon at all, but I've decided to do it anyway. The idea of making a dungeon like this came from my series of side bosses. You see, I love games to have "Super Bosses", such as Ruby Weapon, Ozma, Abyssion, etc., so I wanted Enex2 to have some. As such I have made a series of side bosses named after the rivers of Hades. Acheron, Cocytus, etc. One of the bosses is the duo "Phlegethon and Eridanos", one of which is a river of fire and the other a river of ice. I decided I wanted him to have one room in where you would face him in an ice cave filled with lava. Then I decided, that looks really cool, I'll make a whole dungeon like that!

Basically a blue line runs across the tile of ice blocks. You can only step on where the blue line went, if you step elsewhere, you will crack through the ice and fall into deadly magma!

Yo! Yo!
Kicks here,
Here's a WIP of a battle background I'm doing. I need to add more hue to the sand as well as find a good way to mix the sand texturing with more actual handpainted stuff. Battle backs are hard 'cause you hafta make the majority of it a big field for peeps to stand on (even bigger for my game lol). Then the cool detailed stuff is confined to the top 15-20%! Oh wells...
Let me know what you think, and be harsh!
