I remember those from IRC. The dialogue still cracks me up. I'm not sure I could play a game where everyone talks like that without giggling myself into a state of babbling incoherency. As you might guess, that wouldn't be a very manly way to go.

I know I just posted an SS, but here's another one. It's an Internet Toolbar I made, it's in the scripts part of this forum. It features hyperlinks, and a google search box. It's at the top of my screen, for easy access to different things. I also made the resolution slightly bigger still, to incorporate the size of the bar.

Ignore the map and tileset for teh momentz.

Don't think it's necessary, or at least have an option to disable it. It sounds kinda useless, plus looks distracting. Might be useful if you need it, but I'd seriously recommend a disable option. Gotta admit that's a well done script though.

Well, I guess I'll post a screenshot of a game I've been working on, have no title for it though...

...A whole bunch of really cool pics...

...you know you're close to a town, by asking for directions via question command (I guess similar to the Key Word system from Final Fantasy 2)

Woah, that is suhhhhweeeeet, Shurikenblade!

I love the way that you naturally place tiles together. The layout is very jagged and unsemetrical which gives it a realistic and organic feel! It is always hard to create a convincing nature landscape using tiles, but you have definitely succeeded.

BTW, are they RTP tiles or custom tiles? (Judging from the number of different types of water-depth tiles I'd guess "slightly custom-ized version of RTP" but I'm curious to know for certain.)

Also, a "talk/ fight/ run/ look/ listen/ etc." system like old-skool RPGs used to have is a good idea, eespecially the way you are suggesting to implement it. I really like the depth that it adds.

P.S. I stripped out the "img tags" from my reply to save space and loading time for this webpage. Sorry about including them above (in my previous reply to Lurk.)

Thank you!  I've always had a sort of knack for mapping, especially natural layouts.

All RTP, except I added some trees and bushes from other tilesets into the beach tileset.

That's why I like implementing these things.  I suck at scripting, and hate the damned things, so all of the action command thingies are picture-based events.

Here's an Ask for directions command:

I like the Action box. It seems much snazzier than, say, a simple show choice command! =) Event based, nice. I too am very script handicapped and do all my things like that with show picture / events!  The mapping looks nice too, though theres an error with the big tree's shadow in the topright of the screen. I like the "Sunnyness" of it.

Anyway, heres a shot of mine.

Here is a picture of the pristine Fimbeln Glacis. While the marshy Ninurta Stagnants lie at it's the feet, the putrefaction and rot of that area are unable to reach this frozen mountain. It always snows here, and a small village is nestled upon the mountain. There have been some rumors of cult activity within the village, but nothing conclusive, especially seeing as how a temple honoring the ancient hero, Rekkesh, is in the village.

Looks nice. I like your descriptions of all the places in your world-- it makes me really want to explore them!

Here's the title screen for a new project of mine. I've decided to use a map rather than a still picture, as I'm not very good at pixel art. Apart from the "skip title screen" script, everything else (the choices, title) is evented. Yey "Show Pictures!"
