@Arcanum...
Your sprites are sick dude! I love it. However...! Do me a favor. Get up and walk across the room. There was this one time back in a high school art class, I saw this kid doing a drawing. It was of a guy running and his forward extending hand was on the same side as his forward extending leg. I told him that's not how people move. I even walked like how he had drawn it to look silly, but he didn't believe me and said people can walk both ways. He even refused to show me after asking him. So I ask you now. Please get up and walk across the room so you can see that it is in fact the opposite hand that moves forward with the forward moving foot when we walk or run.
@Hima...
It's looking great man. I'm a manic shooter fan myself. From one of the screens, it seems like there are too many colors. It may already be the case in your game, though the screen shot says otherwise, but most shooters save a specific color to a specific pattern or speed, that way patterns aren't as insane. However, a lot goes into making the bullet patterns beautiful as well. Just a thought to keep in mind. Further, I'd recommend saturating up some of those colors a tad bit more or take down a bit of the white that is in the center. This is so the bullets vary much differently than the rest of the targets/sprites on the screen. Helps with intense games like that.
@Malachi...
That map looks pretty swell. I like the closed in feeling. However, I feel that if some of the walls were darker you'd accomplish a lot of things.
1. Create more contrast compared to the roofs so it will just plain look nicer/more interesting.
2. Create a darker feel that would work well with a closed in area like that.
3. Create an overall more realistic and believable atmosphere
@Hero...
I really enjoy that town. I'm sorry I can't give you a better crit--LOL. But I think I really like it because it reminds me so much of two of my most favorite RPG's. Final Fantasy Legend II and Super Ninja Boy. Everyone here should at least play FFLII and see how such a simple game can be so deep and have great deep combat. And it's so old too! Anyways... Nice old RPG feel to it with the tiny houses that are huge on the inside. I just ask that you be wary of it. Make that aesthetic part of your mission, rather than just having it.
Keep pushing everyone!
