I'm experimenting with a pyramid... I'm not very good at desert mapping (but then who is?) but I've tried.

It's a start, but pyramids are usually larger at the base and have a steeper incline. Remember, these are grand resting places for ancient kings that were considered gods on Earth. They're supposed to be huge.

As for the black outlines, they do add a flavor to his spriting , but for me they just make everything look messy...

I ignored the mapping, as did shifter. I was only commenting on the sprite work.

I really dig the lighting, and the sprite work is great too. Is this for Aqua'os?
 
Diego, those are great. Dylan has a really neat look to him now (though a bit thin).

Sole looks out-of-place with the others, though. I'd like to see her in a more consistent style with the others.
 
The new image of the "main male hero" is way less (sexually) appealing than the previous one, IMO. I'm fine with anorexia; but only for people who actually need to lose fat. Now the guy looks like he was hit by a buldozer. Skinny =! sexy. Normal build + some muscles == sexy. XD I gotta say that I liked the old face better too. Rumi looks better, though. The little guy reminds me of Larsa from FFXII... A lot.

Edit: Erm, yea; I just went to the Blog and noticed the image on the top. I compared the current version of the male lead with the sketchy wallpaper where he's standing against a tree. That's the sexy version.~ Not the one at the top of the blog. Meh, I'm ranting. Point is that he's just too skinny and lacks muscles, lol.
 
@Sasuke: Why is that screenshot so dark? Its able to be seen but its just so faded out I can barely see the words in the lower left/middle.

@Die: I have to agree with everyone else. I'm not really feeling the new style that the art is going in. Its to blah. Don't get me wrong its great art and all its just doesn't have the magic of the other style. But great job none the less!
 
Yuu-Mon Musuedo, the mapping needs a little work. It's to empty, and the water is to straight.

Keep working on it, make it abit more realistic.
 
Latest part of Vengeance I've been working on:

During the Desert chapters the game is getting harder and you're fighting worse foes. To make it a little harder still, when you are in the deep desert areas it is very hot... you become effected by the heat and your HP drains.

You start off with a full supply of water, which you will drink from if you are too hot. But if this water runs out, you start to lose health with every step you take. You can fill up your water and also your hit points at an oasis, a town, or other places.

Basically your water supply is 100, and goes down by 1 every time you take a step. A small Hud lets you keep track of your water supply.

You do not normally get affected by the heat indoors, but there are desert diseases such as malaria that the ancient kings cursed their tombs with, so beware.
