Those systems sound nice, but I'm not a big fan of the fog you used for the sandstorm - the maps are also a bit bare. Work in progress, I assume?
 
Indeed, I'm still working on a better fog and a way to make the desert maps less bare. (The inside I'm still working on too).

(The fog moves by the way so it's a bit better.)
 
Well, there isn't much to add to a desert other than random eye candy (cacti, rocks, trunks etc. just to name some of the RTP tiles), but for the hallway you could definitely add something on the walls. Can't do much with such a narrow passage though...
 
Wyatt, that maps look good. But, that means you can only set 100 steps before your health is being drain? Maybe make another system, that you can refill you water. But only with 10 per bottle of it, and a bit expensive. But you cant get out of desert, (I dont know how long the routes are) without losing health.
But it looks good, for sure.
 
I've been testing this and I've changed it from 100 to 250, possibly more than that.

You can fill up your water at a water supply such as a town or an oasis.

Could even have like you say, items such as water bottles. Or even being able to cast water spells on yourself to fill up your water.

If you're going to have it so readily available, might as well ditch the system. It will become more of a chore than something to make you think about when, where and how much water you should use/take in/to the desert.

@Xcumasoft; Thankyou? are you refering to my screen? I don't think I went overboard ^^: I was hoping to bring out the sci-fi element more from my game and tilesets by the lighting and yet seperate it from other games of the same genre.

I did that on purpose. I wanted the text to be a little unreadable but still legible. It's not a subtitle. It's a quote. But, not to be pushy, but is the circle okay?

I don't understand what you mean by your first question. I picked the colors...

I can't read or see anything except for the name of the game.
 
All you really NEED to see is the Title, Subtitle. The credits are important but the player doesn't want to be cluttered by something they don't need to see. If you think the qoute needs to be bigger or have a different color, I can do that, but I doubt the colors will leave the title.

So do you mean size or color?

@Colt: Wow I'm impressed. If you could get more stuff in those maps then this game looks like its going to be ace! And are those edited megaman sprites? Just curious. Hahahha
 
Given the shape of the boat, I don't think the sink-line is right. ._o Shouldn't the deck part of the line be diagonal, like a 3D cube? Besides that it actually looks quite cool.
