@Malick: I think the trees are a tad to green. I know that sounds weird but compared to the house I think you should just lighten up the bushes and grass and whatnot just a little. Even the one in your signature looks like a giant green blob. But thats off subject. Either way very nice.

@Mac: I need not say something because that screen speaks for itself. :) smexy, man, smexy

The shadows really stand out Malick, is there any way for you to tone down the shadows? And the grass around the bottom of the trees and building seems to be a bit more green than the other grass. Was that intentional? It looks ok other wise, but as Makasu said, it seems really green (specially the one in your sig, you may want to recolor that.) AND, do those events in the middle of the house represent doors? If so, is it a really good idea to have a beam going through the door? @.@
 
2 shots of the initial menu from my current project Reef Break Live, I'll be posting a full thread in the Early Projects Board within the next few days.
These are fully animated screens, the small cityscape in the background is temporary until I draw some of the real in-game city streets, then a random city street will be displayed and panned. The day and time is real time. The character displayed is random, determined like this: character - clothing - size of image - position on screen - image enters from which side.
A total of 24 different combinations per character, will be 6-7 characters in total.

It's going to be in a cel shaded style, oh and by the way, meet Danni.
 
@malick:
I think what they mean is that not the color itself needs to be changed, but there should be more of a contrast to the details of the leaves and etc., as right now it's hard to see that. I actually really like that colour combo, gives it an unique touch. If you can get a bit more contrast into the leaves and as such, you're golden. :)

P.S. Shadows = not transparent at the moment.
 
It is good stuff indeed. If you don't get out of firing range while he's CHARGIN DAH LAZORZ you'll get smoked and faint for a few minutes. And like I've said before, time is urgency...

To beat him you need to pick up the peppers that drop from the sky and stuff them in his mouth. While you struggle to catch falling peppers from a multitude of assorted vegetables and fruit, you need to avoid Shoopy's LAZORZ, and also his friend's. :)

(oops, there goes the boss strategy >.<)

EDIT: Oh and I didn't mention this, but the boss music is completely epic :p You'll have to wait and listen...
 
@Atemu: While thats a lovely screen. I'm not to sure about the giant portal with the old school graphics look. I mean don't get me wrong it looks good! But just seeing that ugly thing next to the other beauty kinda distracts you y'know? And maybe the UMS would look better than that big default window? Just my opinion. But great screen none the less. Make it happen Cap'n.

Malick, you tend to lose your shading. The white just seem like white blobs, and the windows, well, they shouldn't be on beams. In addition, I didn't make those windows to go with a tile like that (I think it looks down right ugly, sorry). Otherwise, careful when you recolor because you tend to lose contrast. --- Also, there is an inconsistancy in the shading of the roof tiles. You might want to look into that, because for people like me, it's really glaring to look at.

Atemu: the portal would match if it didn't have a dark outline, I think. Or you could try recoloring it with colors from the tileset. It is a nice effect and idea though.

I think he means out of place, Atemu, in how it is created. Things can look out of place, but can be the same graphically, if that makes any sense.
