Its amazing how far games have come since the beginning days of the rmxp...some very nice screenies...i'm interested in your project arevulo...i wanna see what comes of it.

After a random bout of poking around Japanese websites (and an effort to find something that'll last with my attention span), I started experimenting with Mack's newer graphics for his slightly-larger-than-RTP character sets.

The results kind of happened by accident.

I really love the town tilesets, as they cut down on how many maps I would need drastically. There are a few edits that need to be done, as can clearly be seen in the screen, but it's not something terribly major.

*so out of practice with making world maps*

The only thing I DON'T like about his world map is the water is a static single tile, while the land is an autotile. It's easy to fix, just time consuming as all hell. That, and properly recoloring the water to match with the style. However, I do appreciate the fact that his tilesets allow for the making of a world map; with the way the default graphics look, RMXP seems to discourage the use of world maps, something I miss from earlier versions.

This one I just started on last night. I... honestly don't remember doing much of it, but I love the look of it. :x

Calibre, that top screenshot looks sexy, but the stone posts near the bottom are half hanging off the edge of the platform.

Prex, it looks a hell of a lot better. I particularly like having your choices off to the side of the talk window, kinda like it is in most commercial RPGs. Shadow effect looks a lot better too.

A screenshot of the battle system I'm using. I still need to add more stuff to it and fix a lot of things (Character alignment for example). I used Paradog's frontview battle system, Seph's bars, KGC's bonus gauge and ACB.

@Calibre: Those are some nice maps but as the above poster says, the stone posts at the bottom look like they're hanging on the edge. Also, the orange in the second screen should be a bit darker.
