The textures shall be done ^_^ As for the creature itself - it's nothing specific, total fanatasy. And six legs are easier to animate than eight (especially if I don't want to have 16 frames of animation, and I don't ; ).
 
i don't remember the name of the autor now, but it's the first ABS you find in the forum script list. I have edited it a bit for my own needs of course =)
 
I'm sorry cray but I don't like the HUD at all. Now don't get me wrong its better than anything I have to show at the moment but its just to jaggy and plain for my tastes. And still not feeling the original icons. Something that nice deserves a nice[er] HUD. BUT I do like the names over the enemies. Very good show man. :] but yeah clean up the HUD and make it happen Cap'n.
 
i just invent a supposed level for every enemy, it's more of a guide to show what lv should you be at the time, but nothing more.
and I'm sorry you don't like the HUD makasu, I'm kinda satisfied with it, it's pretty close to what I had in mind...
and although you're right about the icons, this is supposed to be a quick project, just to be sure I can actually finish a game, so i think I'll stick with the defaul ones, unless i find some better around, but I won't lose time drawing them.
 
Well then don't draw them. Download some. :) and oh its okay its just my personal opinion. I mean I'm still going to play the game if you release a demo. Because the screens look good. Its just the HUD is something I'll get used to in time y'know? So good job there. And yeah the enemy level thing is it a script? Just curious.

I was gone for two weeks so this is a very, very late reply :P

But yes, it was done in Photoshop. Basically, I resized the grid/tiles from original game and redrew them. I'm doing some more and original stuff for it later as well, as I find it easier to work with then with spriting (which is funny, because this requires me to basically redraw everything).
 
makasu: i wanted to have a script to make event names show over events, but I haven't been able to find one, at least I posted a topic about that in script requests, so till then I'm just putting the names and levels in the charactersets...
