Very nice the man
and megatronx that's awesome, I love it.
here are 3 new screens from my short project, I have already around 1/4 of the game ready, there are 8 stages, and I have just started the 3rd one. I hope you guys will like it.
btw I have been thinking about using some cosmetic lighing, but I'm using an ABS, and my computer barely can make it with just the ABS and some minor effects (even weather effects sometimes makes it lag a lot). So I'll just use edited tilesets but mostly no special lighting...

@Cray: Those are some pretty good screens. I like the mapping the most. Especially the maze one. Haven't seen that one done before. :D but on the third one where'd you get the tileset from? Ace screens cheif. Ace.
 
thank you. One of the hardest aspects to creating a sci-fi game on rmxp is the lack of resources as most futuristic resources tend to be dull and black :(
But that would never match the anime style to my game. ':|


So ive had to create most of the stuff myself. ^_^
the game is called "precursors legacy", the project thread should be up soon :D (oh and i do realise that it shares the name with the first Jak and Daxter game but my game has nothing to do with the jak franchise. Its just that this title is so important to the game that changing it wouldnt be right).

Im putting a huge emphasis in animation and its beginning to pay off :p
 
Darksora: yeah, going sci-fi myself and making my own resources too, and not just the style, but the size I need is different from most graphics (I use small charsets). But you got a nice look there, will be waiting for your tread :)

Sicarus: Amazing stuff too, has a Phantasy Star 2 feel to it somehow XD

Malick, Maybe you should recolor the windows so they look like LIGHT is in them? I mean, the dark windows kinda kills the light coming out of them. unless they are magic black curtains!

That's great ambition, Malick. That really makes me want to play your game, you know? /sarcasm Try again. Maybe editing the tileset and using events! :O So hard.

I like it :) Only suggestions would be the inventory and exp. For the inventory, I think the "x" and the number need some spaces between them. And for the exp, I think if the "%" is aligned vertically with last 9 on MP and HP would be better.

Maybe numbers should be white too, I'm not sure about this though. What will you do with the space on the middle right?

I liek the wood-ish theme of the windows. I usually don't like being able to see the map in the background when it comes to Menu systems, but for seomr reason this doesn't bother me at all. I'm assuming it's for a project?
 
The HP, MP, and XP values are all center aligned with each other, but I'll consider moving it over. I can see why it might look better that way. I'm not sure if I want the numbers being white.. I kind of like how they look now. I'll tinker with that, too.

The Inventory window is only visible when you highlight the Inventory item in the Menu, and becomes active when you press the action key. If you cursor over the Equip screen, all the Equipment data shows up (which will likely use the entire mid section) and etc. for Skills and Status.

Also, the windows are supposed to just be an easy-looking color, kinda like sand/parchment. I wasn't thinking Wood :)

It's for whatever I am working on right now. I don't really name my projects, I just kind of make them, make ideas for them, etc. since I have Project ADD and consistently drop and change them.
 
Prexus the brown text inside the boxes are kind of blurry to me. Maybe it's the shadow effect since the shadow's gray is so close to the color you chose. If you outline it or lose the shadow it should be more easily read.

Malik try checking "always on top" in the event section... or maybe you can place the edit in the tilset and be sure to double check that it's priority is higher than the orginal window below it. That should clear it up.
